hlaalu disguise helm name?

Post by haversham »

couldnt find this in a search:

sold the hlaalu helm you are supposed to use in ald'run and cannot locate it now. any idea what its called?

while we're at it, i accidently showed up with the wrong helm and blew my cover. ive done alot of important stuff since. is it worth doing it all over to complete this quest? i could reload but it would be a major pain. i guess at worst i can just join a different house, eh?

thanks

I can't recall the name of the helm. Is it listed in your journal by any chance?
You might also want to check the GB Morrowind walkthrough, as well as some of the guides listed in the Yellowpages Sticky; Game Faqs springs to mind.

Once you have joined a Great House, that's it; you can't change to another, even if you manage to get yourself expelled from the one you are in.

EDIT

I just looked through some of the guides, the most specific I've managed to find is "Redoran Helm." Which, of course, really narrows it down doesn't it
I suppose you could try getting your mitts on a standard Redoran Helm if you haven't already.

wow, you cannot change to another house? i just read the thread about favorite guild/houses. not alot of votes for hlaalu. dont know if i can bear to start over again just yet. i've had the game 1 month and am on my 4th character and havent gotten past level 12 with any of them. so much more out there i'd like to see.

guess i'll have to go back and beg forgiveness for botching the quest.

Personally I like Hlaalu, but I usually play stealth characters and I find they are a nice midway between the mercenary Telvanni and the holier than thou Redoran, but that is just me ;)

OKay.. I actually had a 'baby character' kicking about Balmora, so I loaded my game up and had her join Hlaalu.
The helm's name is: Native Gah-Julan Bonemold Helm (if any will do, or if you need the helm you were specifically given, I don't know)

In case you are on PC and are looking to edit that particular helm into your game via the console, its code is:
bonemold_gah-julan_hhda

You could try this, using the console, if you've got the game on PC.

First, bring up the console, typing ~. Then, type

pcjoinfaction "factionname here" (no quotes)

I don't know how to get yourself expelled from a house without unpleasant consequences, or whether this cheat will work when you're already a member of one house.
