Viconia Aint Talking

I started a new party (after all my in/uninstalling and fixing, modding, patching

) and was planning on doing the Viconia romance. I have her in my party, but she hasn't said a thing and I've finished SPOILERS

De-arnise, the slavers and gone into the backrooms of the Coronet, the sewers, started Trademeet and a bunch of other things. Oh, and as a rule of thumb I rest ALOT. Maybe there's nothing wrong because I know much of the dialogues are at least partially random, but it's disconcerting. I had Jaheira and Aerie in the party for short periods of time, but got rid of them for worry that their presence was pissing her off or something (I don't know, women can be touchy like that

) and so she wasn't talking. Anyway any suggestions?

What's your character's race? As I recall, she has her limitations.

Human sorcerer, chaotic good alignment... I am playing with a modded party member if that hurst at all, however Jan has been his talkative old self and Aerie talked my ear off for the three minutes she was in my party.

I think she only romances humans and half-elves.

I know elves are off her list, but I'm not totally sure about orcs or the shorter races.

What's your party rep? If it's too high but not high enough to get her to leave, she may feel uncomfortable.

There's also a variable you can check on her romance, but I'm afraid I don't know it. The romances never particularly interested me--at least, none beside my own in reallife.

@Fable,
I might be wrong, but I'm relatively certain I have read in various threads that party rep doesn't affect NPC romances.
It's a while since I've played through any of the official ones though, so somebody will need to confirm.

I remember I once had a problem with Vicona. It turns out, Jaheria still thought she was romancing me, so Vicona would not talk. The reason this occured is because I made her leave by abusing her about Khalid, and for some reason, it did not terminate a romance. To solve this, I simply had to finish it by talking to her outside the Harper's Compound in the Docks. Then Vicona went fine.

Thanks for the advice venom, I broke off what little romance there had apparently been and Viconia is now her old talkative self.

Ha, it's amazing how that can happen. It frustrated the hell out of me until I approached the place for the Edwin quest. Then Jaheria said something out of nowhere, and then it all made sense.

It has been a while, iirc, there is a mod where you can enjoy simultaneous romances with Aerie, Jaheira and Viccy, so... I am thinking your problem, if it happens again, might be solved with this mod.
