This will be our second cruise. We went last year for a week to the eastern Carbbean and this year we're doing the western Caribbean.

I'm just hoping Wilma doesn't crash the party.

Since I'm leaving the country on Sunday, I'm posting two weeks worth of picks this week.

For week 7, my predictions are:

Detroit at Cleveland
Green Bay at Minnesota
Indianapolis at Houston
Kansas City at Miami
New Orleans at St. Louis
Pittsburgh at Cincinnati
San Diego at Philadelphia
San Francisco at Washington
Dallas at Seattle
Baltimore at Chicago
Buffalo at Oakland
Denver at N.Y. Giants
Tennessee at Arizona
N.Y. Jets at Atlanta

A couple of notes for week 7:

I know Brett Favre has always had problems in the Metrodome, but c'mon, this is the Vikings we're talking about.

When was the last time anyone said, "The Bengals are in sole possession of first place"?

For week 8, I'm taking:

Arizona at Dallas
Chicago at Detroit
Cleveland at Houston
Green Bay at Cincinnati
Jacksonville at St. Louis
Minnesota at Carolina
Oakland at Tennessee
Washington at N.Y. Giants
Kansas City at San Diego
Miami at New Orleans
Philadelphia at Denver
Tampa Bay at San Francisco
Buffalo at New England
Baltimore at Pittsburgh

Some week 8 notes:

It seems that I went with an almost straight "home team" ticket this week, but with few exceptions, the home teams are playing better football. I don't know whether or not Marc Bulger will be starting in St. Louis and if he's not, the Jaguars will eat Jamie Martin up.

I think the Pats come off the by strong and paste the Bills.

I was burned once picking against the Broncos at home; not this week.

Bears-Lions. Somebody's got to win.

Browns over Lions - Lions have receiver troubles
Packers over Vikings - Will Favre finally win in Minny? Yes.
Colts over Texans - Freeney's going to kill Carr
Chiefs over Dolphins - Miami provides a good place for KC to break out
Saints over Rams - Bruce is gone, Holt's playing hurt, and Bulger's got a bum shoulder
Steelers over Bengals - Cincy's giving up 4.9 yards a carry on D, the Bus owns them
Chargers over Eagles - McNabb's definitely hurting and the D has been sketchy
Redskins over 49ers - If not for Holmes, Washington would've won last week
Seahawks over Cowboys - Injuries will catch up to Dallas this week
Ravens over Bears - Toss up, two strong D's against weak O's
Bills over Raiders - No Moss gives Buffalo the upper hand
Broncos over Giants - I just don't see how Jersey/A can stop Denver's run
Cardinals over Titans - Boldin and Fitzgerald are going to burn Tennesse
Falcons over Jets - If Holcomb can throw two, Vick can throw two

Please note the Friday game this week, re-scheduled due to Wilma!

For me, I'll take the Dolphins tonight, because while Fred and Barney are at their meeting for the Loyal Order of Water Buffalos, Wilma and Betty will be going shopping in Miami. Besides, Dolphins should do well in a flood.
That there; exactly the kinda diversion we coulda used.

Lions over Browns....if Harrington is benched that is. I'm gueesing he is
Packers over Vikings- At least GB has looked great in 6 quarters this year.
Colts over Texans- Freeny may set the sack record here. Not just single game either, he could bust the season mark as well.
Dolphins over Chiefs- short week should hurt the visiting team more.
Rams over Saints- No Duece, relying on Brooks is a waiting disaster.
Steelers over Bengals- Best game of the week, but Steeler still edge this one.
Chargers over Eagles- Eagles are weak against the run, and simply refuse to run. SD has the ball about 40 minutes in this game.
Skins over Niners- provided they can hold onto the ball, the Skins can beat anyone.
Cowboys over Seahawks -Dallas is starting to resemble Parcells 80's Giants teams. Tough defensive play, grinding out the clock with the run, the occasional big play. They will never look like the dominant team the Pats or the Eagles may look like, but the Giants never looked as dominant as the Niners or Redskins either and won two super bowls.
Ravens over Bears- But who really cares?
Bills over Raiders- Boy, one win, and everyone jumps on the Bills bandwagon. I donb;t buy the bills long term, but I buy them this week.
Broncos over Giants- Denver is a better team in all phases of the game.
Titans over Cards- Titans have been playing decently while losing. They have enough to handle AZ
Falcons over Jets- Falcons could be the best in the NFC this year

Arizona at Dallas
Chicago at Detroit
Cleveland at Houston Some say that no team can go completely winless, and that this is the most likely game for the Texans to win. Considering the kind of week that certain other Texans have had, I'm not about to pick them.
Green Bay at Cincinnati
Jacksonville at St. Louis
Minnesota at Carolina
Oakland at Tennessee
Washington at N.Y. Giants
Kansas City at San Diego

Cowboys over Cards- At least for the first 58 minutes of the game.
Bears over Lions- Damn this division is painful to watch
Browns over Texans- How the Hell is Houston favored in any week?
Bengals over packers- You have to feel for Favre this year
Jags over Rams- Jackson can't do it all, even with Martz not there to hold him back
Panthers over Vikings- Vikes suck
Raiders over Titans- this one will bite me in the rear, you watch and see
Skins over Giants- Skins are better overall team, but the Mara factor may kill me
Chargers over KC- Figure LT to be mad as Hell
Dolphins over Saints- Dolphins run all over the Saints
Broncos over Eagles- Eagles won;t run, Broncos will
TB over SF- Do we even have to pick SF games? Can we just all get automatic credit when they lose each week?
Pats over Bills- Emotional lift for the Pats getting Brusci back
Steelers over Ravens- Steelers stil the team to beat in this division.

The Jets last week were just sad...I couldn't watch halfway through the game.

Cowboys
Bears
Browns
Bengals - although Favre might surprise again, but they've lost 2 offensive weapons
Jags
Panthers
Titans - a toss-up...picked the Titans b/c it's a home game for them
Giants
Chargers
Dolphins
Eagles - going against most opinions here
Bucs
Pats
Steelers

Nope. :p Am I missing much other than Carr getting knocked on his butt?

I should've known better on the Eagles though. I've seen them play horribly four times this year. Funny how they ran pretty much a grand total of four times in those games combined. :o

well, today was the first time all season that the texans had a lead. By any amount. Ever.

The Eagles game was my one consolation after watching the Skins get skinned and the Cowboy win. I hate Tikki

Well at least we all know that the Texans will lose to the Colts. If they don't than I'll lose hope in humanity. I don't even need to see 'em to know that they're bad.

I'm so mad that the Skins got shut out. It's not like they were facing the Steel Curtain. That and the fact that I have Portis, Cooley, and Moss in one of my pools.

The Giants and Eagles always screw me up in pick 'em. I choose them to win, they lose. I choose them to lose, they do something crazy and win in ways you wouldn't imagine.

Stupid Tiki.
