*~* minor spoiler *~* The Prince uses Dominate !?

Post by Lunaida »

Right now I am playing a Malkavian and I am planning to side with no one at the end of the game, SO when speaking to LaCroix I chose all the dialogues indicating my dissatisfaction regarding having to do LaCroix's errands. Strangely enough (or not strange at all, after all) whenever I told him I wouldnt want anything else to do with him, LaCroix told my character things like:

"You will go to the Elizabeth Dane."
or
"Go see Grout."

And each time I had three options for and answer all of which were:

"I will go to Elizabeth Dane."
or
"I will go see Grout."

Now this sounds a bit strange , as if my character had been dominated ! And considering the fact that LaCroix is a Ventrue and so has the Dominate power, I think this could be the case !
Does this happen all the time !? Or only with Malkavians !?

Ask LaCroix about himself and he tells you that he is a Ventrue. Domination is one of his vampiric disciplines, and he does use it. In fact, at the end of the game if you side with anyone other than him he tries to Dominate you into giving him the key to the sarcophogus. One of your possible responses is "Don't waste your time trying to dominate me, LaCroix."

Hmmm...
In that case, It is a pitty you cannot dominate him with having 5 levels in Dominate ! Cause I know I couldnt with my Ventrue whose Dominate was full by some time before the end of the game.
If it could be possible, you could dominate him and make him do the quests while you yourself were sitting in his pent-house, ordring his gorilla to bring you PHD humans to feed on ! lol :D

These "dominatings" didnt appear in a red text, they were in usual text. The thing that made me think of it was that his tone was rather strange when saying them and the options that I had for an answer.
Maybe the attempt that he makes later in the game also appears in the same text as the other dialogues !

Oh ! And I also wonder if you keep him dominating you, will his blood-bar eventually become empty and will he go into a frenzy !? HAHA ! Just a thought !

The only time you get to resist LaCroix's domination is at the end of the game when he demands that you give him the key. By that point in the game, your character's power has increased dramatically - beyond even LaCroix's ability to control.
