fable on win98??

fable on win98??

hiyazz im new here, but i got this one important question (sorry for askin this withouth doing a research), but my little brother wants fable on his computer. hes got:

amd 1200 mhz
win 98
ati radeon 9600 pro 256 mb ram
directx 9.0 c
latest driver for ati

the problem is, theres something in his motherboard that defect or somthin. i cant install xp on his pc. i only did once, and after 2 days i got dat bleu error screen and win xp wouldnt start so since that day i cant install win xp.

now my question is whether there's a patch or something that can allow me to install fable on his pc? ?

please help

i'm guessing nobody has an answer for this annoying question, but if by coincedince anyone does, please do not hesitate to inform. i'm getting para here :confused:

Well, buy the game, and then test it. If it works, cool, play and enjoy. If it doesn't, simply return it for a refund and you didn't lose anything.

Either way, you win.
In memorian: Fiona; Ravager; Lestat; Phreddie; and all of those from the 1500 incident. Lest we forget.

I tried to run the game on Windows ME. It refused to start the installation program. I expect you'll have the same result under Win98. :(

Yup it either won't start at all or you'll get an error.

You might check the publisher's website to see if the issue is discussed in any forums, there.

Well, the system requierments does say WinXP (on my box), so I wouldn't hold my breath for it being runable at all under Win98. The techonolgies of the windows versions aren't the same, so doubt it would be possible if indeed it is made for WinXP.

You might look around for a wordy something called the Microsoft Windows Application Compatibility Toolkit. It does let you run a number of games that are otherwise incompatible with various flavors of the GUI. It's free and can be downloaded online, but that doesn't mean it will work in your case.
