the Nameless One?

Post by Veaman »

A couple of the items purchaseable from the bonus merchants have descriptions mentioning "The Nameless One" (Vhailors Helm and Dakkon Zerths Blade if I remeber it correctly); is this a reference to some character within the Forgotten Realms, or is it actually a flirt with Tolkiens mythology (in "the Two Towers", Sauron is referred to as "the Nameless One")?

It's a reference to the RPG Planescape: Torment which was developed by Black Isle Studios. The Nameless One, Vhailor and Dakkon all are characters in that game (with The Nameless One being the protagonist). You definetly should try it out if you like RPGs. Definetly a must.

BTW, there is a separate forum for Planescape: Torment and a whole page about it here at Gamebanshee.

One of the coolest things about PS:T is that you don't need to pick a character name that you'll end up regretting! ;)
