Kron was becoming anxious, he did not want to be the one to communicate with these people, he had other concerns. Removing his hood, Kron heard a number of gasps. "Here is your drow. My companion and comrade-in-arms had informed me of your offer, and it is intruiging, however it is my comrade who is our leader, so all decisions are ultimately his. As such, it is probably best that he organise all details of the deal with you, though I am much honoured by your trust in me, it is a strange world in which we must live. I hope my leader has also your trust."
Kron had to add this last bit to make sure he did not offend this group, as they may see Sh'rarn as somewhat inferiour to Kron, and as such, think Kron weak in being subservant. The woman was interesting though, but certainly a dangerous and ruthless one nonetheless.

She seemed reluctant to deal with Sh'rarn but wanted to respect the drow's wishes. She sighed and turned to him, "Would you be willing to help us in order to get free passage?"
"I know little of you or your organisation or even who you are".
"Hmm, yes it is much to ask. Very well, some more information about us. We do not conflict your goals or those of the Red Knights, nor do we seek to destroy or harm the city"
"That could be seen as a matter of perspective", Sh'rarn remarked shrewdly.

Kron glanced around warily. This group actually seemed quite harmless. He sincerly hoped Tway did not do anything to jepordise this chance, it seemed they were genuine. The looks on their faces were of worry and concern, rather than guile and deception. Perhaps this was truly a noble cause, and if Sh'rarn could be convinced of such, all the better. "So what are your goals, I'm sure we would be willing to help?"

This 'organisation', whatever it truly was, didn't seem so bad. However, what legitimate group met strangers in sewers?! He wasn't convinced that these strangers had their best intentions in mind.
"Yes, what do you need us to do?" Sh'rarn echoed Kron.
"Hmm...there is someone that requires protection, he may be attacked in the next day and we need capable people to act as bodyguards. I trust you have no problems with this?"

Kron chuckled to himself. No matter how desperate they were, they would never do something while being unaware of the consequences. Besides, he wished to know about this group and their leader. "You cannot expect us to do such a task without first letting us know who that person is. Also, I have a personal wish to know about this organisation you have started, and why you wish to see me? If you could answer these questions, I would be most pleased." Kron seriously doubted they would refuse this.

The woman seemed slightly annoyed at Kron's lack of patience but covered the reaction quickly.
"Of course, I was just going to tell you who we want you to protect. As for your other questions, they shall have to wait until you've helped us."
Turning back to Sh'rarn she said, "There is a half-elf awaiting you back at the Lord's Table by the name of Penorl. I expected you to talk to us so I felt it best he would be in familiar territory to you. It is possible noone will attack but you should be prepared in any circumstance."

"Oh but of course. I merely ask because I do not wish to be caught unaware later due to a lack of knowledge. However I can see your wisdom in not answering the question, you must make a good leader of this particular organisation. Tway, I think it is safe for you to come from the shadows and join Sh'rarn again. And leader of this organisation, though we don't have a name, we shall meet you down here soon." With that Kron walked off, dispelling his darkness spell and pocketing his curious object once more.

Whilst Tway didn't fancy leaving Sh'rarn to face a criminal gang with only Kron by his side, she complied. If anything happened, she could always shoot whoever threatened her man. Taking up a decent position, she uncovered the magicked orb, rasining her bow at the woman before all light blinked out.
It was an uncanny sensation. For all her senses to be perfect and her vision as useless as could be. But she found it somehow relaxing. She settled back and listened to the men discussing their passage.
"Tway, I think it is safe for you to come from the shadows and join Sh'rarn again..."
Without a word she leapt down from her hiding place, landing lightly on the balls of her feet, despite the fifteen foot drop. She covered the concealing orb and made for Sh'rarn. A few of the criminals gave a start as she casually walked through them. She tossed the orb to Kron and kissed Sh'rarn on the cheek, slipping her arm around his waist...

Impressive. Tway had been hiding above them and he hadn't noticed, not that it was very surprising. Her sudden appearance obviously surprised the individuals around them too.
"Well, if you don't have any objections we better get going."
The woman nodded in assent,"That's fine. Perdol will be awaiting you."
The three of them left via the entrance they had taken in.

Kron glanced several more members of that organisation hiding in the shadows as they left the sewers, he wondered just how many there were. As they were leaving the entrance, a small group of people came rushing by, followed by a large group brandishing all manner of weapons. "Well, it looks like we aren't the only fugitives. Now, we had best hide once more." Kron led the group through some alleys, finally arriving at the The Lord's Table. "Once more, we must be careful, Tway, you can stay with us, however keep a look out."

"I agree with Kron, it would help to have someone outside the Inn keeping guard, perhaps we should arrange a signal?"
Tway suggested a bird sound, one that would be recignisable by them but not shocking enough it would alert any would-be assassins. She was a bit reluctant to leave them though, especially considering it was unlikely that any such people could be easily spotted. "I think it would still be for the best Tway, it could give us a vital advantage or at least take aways theirs". She nodded and quickly vanished from sight. Turning to Kron he said, "I didn't know Rangers were so good at that. Anyway, we should go meet this Perdol."
They entered the Inn and looked around, soon spotting a man by the description that the woman had earlier given. He was sitting by a window on the west wall. Getting drinks from the barkeeper in an attempt to appear inconsipcuous they wandered over to where the half-elf sat.

"Greetings Perdol, we have been told to meet you. I am Kron and this is Sh'rarn." Kron chose not to sit, as he wanted this over and done with before matters were out of hand.
"Ah, my escorts." Replied Perdol, attempting to discern who Kron was.
"Now, we know not of who you are and the details concerning this, and here is not the place. What you must know is there are mobs who are hunting us, so we must be careful there. We shall protect you, and if that is all, we must go." Kron chose not to reveal his heritage, as the elf would most likely refuse to leave with him if it was mentioned.
"Very well, let us be off." Perdol rose from his seat, adjusting his weapons, he followed Kron and Sh'rarn out of the inn.

Sh'rarn noted that Kron kept his identity hidden from their 'client'. This was probably for the best, many people didn't get on well with Drow. As for Perdol himself, he'd expected some simpering lord of this or that, however he was apparently amed. Of course, owning weapons and having the training to use them effectively were very different things.
Sh'rarn had intended them to stay in the Inn and guard the room. And having Tway guard the outside would alert them of the presence of anyone suspisicious. Now, Kron was leading Perdol outside, into the streets where the mob prowled.
Still, Sh'rarn didn't really want to contradict the dark elf as the idea had merit and arguing in front of Perdol over tactics would hardly inspire confidence.
For now, he would let Kron lead the way.

Kron wished to move this man back to the sewers and to the organisation. That way, he would defintely be safe, and they would no longer have to worry about him.
"They will no doubt be looking for me, they will especially be watching the sewers." Perdol whispered to Kron, thinking him the leader.
"Nevermind, I have a plan." Kron whispered back. As they left the building, Kron casually gave a hand gesture for Tway to follow at a distance, Kron led them to an abandoned building nearby, waiting for Tway to enter. "They will be watching for us, and as such, will have a certain identity they are looking for. So instead, I choose to change that. Perdol, you are a half-elf, so no doubt you will hate me after I say this, but it must be said if we follow my plan. I am a Drow, but I have renounced my ways. Now, my plan is that I swap clothes with Perdol, with him and Sh'rarn leaving the building, it will appear as if it is Sh'rarn and I. Then I will cause a distraction to give you guys a chance to leave. So, are you in agreeance with my plan, or have you other ideas?"

Perdol turned to Sh'rarn. "You trust this...this...DROW?!"
Sh'rarn glanced in Kron's direction and grimaced, "Well...not completely. But enough to trust the plan and to know he won't sacrifice you."
"How can I even trust a Paladin that associates with this..creature?!"
"You question my faith?", Sh'rarn tuned a steely gaze in the half-elf's direction.
Perdol was intimidated by this, "I...er...of course not. If you and your goddess trust this person, I will too."
Sh'rarn nodded, "Very well". He turned to Kron and smiled, "We have no problems with that plan."

"Well it's good to see you have come around."
With Perdol in his new outfit, Sh'rarn led the way out of the building. Just as Kron suspected, there was a shadowy figure watching the building. "Tway, I need you to risk yourself, because you are cloaked as I am not. I want you to yell out that the figure over there is a Drow. Then when as they move in on him, I will cast Faerie Fire, which will cause then to attack him."
As Tway yelled that out, the mob turned towards the man, and as he was revealing himself, a strange glow surrounded him. "GET THE DROW!" Suddenly the crowd surged forward, and the man began to flee.
With Tway returning inside, all that was left was to wait until it was well and truly safe for them to leave the area. At night, they would make their move, until then, they had to hope Sh'rarn made it.

Sh'rarn and the half-elf dressed in Kron's attire left the building. They would have to be cautious for more watchers. At least the first had been taken care of, that one was busy fleeing the mob, although being cloaked in small flames did nothing to help him hide their gaze.
It had been a good measure to kill two birds with one stone as they said. The crowd was also distracted which was a good thing seeing as they were after him too.
Somehow, he was going to have to get Perdol back down to where he had met with the shadowy group earlier on. With his lack of knowledge regarding sewer routes he'd be forced to take the same route in as before.
At least the half-elf was being quiet now, rather than more outrage at having met a drow. Sh'rarn definitely didn't need to guard a hysterical person.
Creeping through the familiar sideways of the city and using hand-signals to communicate as neccesary they made it closer to the Blushing Mermaid tavern sewer entrance...

"We must hope they made it, for we cannot help them now. We however must save ourselves, and let us be glad that I did procure the necessary things to hide our identity. Once we are prepared to leave, we shall split up, for that gives us less chance of being found, as we no longer have to communicate, rather just move. I suggest we head back to the Blushing Mermaid, and from there, to the sewers, for Sh'rarn would most likely have waited. Also, that way I can retrieve my clothing back, allowing for less chance of being discovered." With that, Kron carefully opened the door and scuttered away.

Tway followed silently throughout the entire exchange. It didn't bother her that she'd been relegated to the role of sentinel, she'd spent four years of her short life alone in the wilds (if one can every truly be alone in nature) she could stand a few more hours.
But of course, Tway hadn't been head-over-heels in love during thoes four years. SHe found herself worrying for the handsome Aasimar who had stolen her heart. All the shady characters didn't share his moral uprightness, and that could easily be turned against him, Tway knew. But, she remained attentive to her role, only occasionally allowing her mind to wonder over Sh'rarn.
When they at last reched the Blushing Mermaid, Tway leapt down from her post with a sigh of relief. She wasted no time unstrining her bow and replacing the drawn arrow to her quiver. She she practicaly pounced on Sh'rarn, locking him in a deep kiss...

~Earlier that day~
Looking upon the sewer entrance in the middle of the thoroughfare near the tavern, Sh'rarn couldn't help think how exposed it was. However, it was unlikely that anyone would be watching, especially now the person likely intended to follow them had been chased off.
It depended how organised they were, if more than one person was watching out. Even if they were, it was possible, they might not recognise them as Perdol was attired completely differently.
There was nothing for it, they had to make a break for the entrance. And with the amount of people around, Sh'rarn didn't want to arouse suspiscions.
It turned out there was no-one waiting, or at least they didn't make themselves known. Climbing down the slimy rungs back down into the sewer with Perdol following closely behind, it seemed that this duty would soon be discharged. Following the route previous route taken through the sewer to the hub they had met with the shadowy figures, Sh'rarn didn't know exactly what to expect. It seemed unlikely that they would always maintain a presence there. Luck was with them again though, a guard had been stationed in the sewer hub, though he didn't seem any too happy to see them. He was dressed in the cowls that seemed all to customary with these people.
The guard loosened his long sword in his scabbard, "What are you doing back here?! You weren't supposed to return, until we sent message." Looking behind Sh'rarn his eyes widened, "And why did you bring HIM along?!"
"You wanted us to look after him right? Where better than with you and your friends?".
The guard didn't look reassured, but sighed and said, "Very well, I'll take you to my leaders, but only if you consent to being blindfolded. We can't reveal our position, now!"
Looking at Perdol, expecting protest and yet receiving none, just a shrug from the half-elf, he turned back to look at the guard and nodded.
The guard whistled and two more cowled people walked out from the shadows and then Sh'rarn and Perdol were then blindfolded. After a journey through the twisting sewers, some of which seemed to lead downhill, they were halted and the blindfolds were taken off. The room they were in seemed more natural than the sewers above. Perhaps it was a cave system connected to the sewers. Such things had happened before...
"Welcome to our humble retreat", a familiar female voice said before she turned around to gaze at the newcomers, "I see you brought Perdol to us. Why?"
"You wanted him protected and so we felt seeing as you and your allies needed him protected, that the best place would be with you."
The woman's eyebrows raised, though it was hard to see under the masking hood she wore, "Fool! What if you had lead our enemies to our doorstep?!" she hissed.
"We set up a distraction, besides they couldn't an army against you down here!"
She looked at him shrewdly before replying, "That's what you think".
"Yes... it is." Sh'rarn sighed, "Anyway, you'll look after Perdol, right? It was you who wanted him protected in the first place, after all."
The woman pondered before answering, "Aye, we will. Perdol will be safe here for now."
"Okay. I'm presuming that our passage to Sterenear won't be given just yet, so what are we required to do next?".
She described what was next required of Sh'rarn, Tway and Kron. He didn't like the task much, but again there was little choice. First taking Kron's clothes back (for the drow would be most displeased otherwise) he said that he wished to return to the surface and again being blindfolded he was led to the original meeting place, Sh'rarn decided to wait for his companions in the tavern. They were likely to be around soon.
~~~
Soon after nightfall, Kron and Tway entered the tavern. Getting up from the table where he sat he walked over. When Tway saw him, her eyes lit up and she rushed over deeply kissing him, which he returned measure-for measure. He could lose himself in that abnd almost did until Kron cleared his throat and Sh'rarn remembered himself. Reluctantly pulling away from Tway, he turned to Kron, "I have your clothes back for you, Perdol did seem grateful for making it to them in one piece. I see you didn't have trouble arriving here now..."
