Golem question

Post by Mannock »

I've just entered the sphere in the slums with Valygar. In the room to the left there's a golem which doesn't take damage from any of my weapons. How do I kill him?
It's odd cause I killed the golems in the beginning of the game without any problems. Why is the golem resistant to my weapons now?

Thanks for any help.

He's a clay golem. you need magic BLUNT weapons - not sure if they need to be +2 or +3 though (flail of ages works).

Thanks a lot for the help, the Flail of Ages worked fine, as you said.
Speaking of the Flail of Ages, is the third head also to be found in the castle or elsewhere? (I have cold and acid so far)

3 heads, all in the castle. You are missing the fire head.
Then darkness took me, and I strayed out of thought and time

Okay, that was what I suspected and wanted to know. Yet again, thanks.

Checked the Walkthrough and saw that the firehead for the flail of ages was to be found in the room with the golems. The problem is that I missed the weapons there when I cleared the castle from trolls. Now when the battle is over, there isn't any golems nor any weapons in the room anymore. I now suspect I will never get hold of the fire head for the flail of ages, correct?

There should be three caches of items on the wall furthest from the door. They should not be affected by the golems' deaths. Image

I had that problem too at the first time i tried to fight the golem... i got little bit frustrated and after reload i summoned some bears with Jaheira just for fun Image then i hasted the bears and opened the door to the clay golem... you can guess how surprised i was when i noticed that the golem was DEAD and couple bears actually survived the battle..., this works well against a medium group of clay golems too in asylum dungeon i dispatched the three golems guarding the gesen bow string with four hasted bears, they kick ass, the demon's in the other realm were easy as killing nats too Image

That's right Mannock. If you have finished the quest and gotten the hold as a stronghold it is cleared. You have the get things before you finish the quest.
