totem tree

hi,
I bought the totem for 10,000, but cannot find the tree to talk to, i did kill some trees that attacked me, I've searched everywhere around the location at the southern most point and above that. Do I need to speak to that tree before going north to do quests---isle of the dammed/tomb of souls?

The trees you need to talk to are in the far northeastern section of your map (paper map that came with the game). They are just before that narrow area. The isle of the Damned is in the sea of woe. You have to talk to the trees before going to the isle of the damned but not anything else. D

Use the Demigoth Land overview

Take a look at the walkthrough for the Demigoth Land overview. You need to go to point #8. You'll only be able to approach from the West. Talk to the tree with the name Wylfervan or some-such.

Was going by a map that the 'totem tree' was at bottom of forbidden lands!
