Create Item Stuck in Inventory

Post by littlebit »

I used the createitem to get the mage06 free action ring and it's stuck in my inventory. Does anyone know how to help me get it removed or working like normal? I'm not even sure if it's a bug or not. I read somewhere that a few swords will do this if they are created by using the cheat.... I'm just not sure what to do ... :(

That could be one of the items BioWare created to give to enemies, making it undroppable so you wouldn't get it as loot. If so, you'll have to use Shadowkeeper or something to remove it.

If you were after the Ring of Free Action that you get as loot normally, I don't know the CLUA code but someone else probably does.

Welcome to Gamebanshee. I hope you enjoy your visit.

Items like that can only be removed with a saved game editor like Shadowkeeper. Technically, such items have a flag that makes them "undroppable", which you can remove with an item editor. Instead of using MAGE06, try RING09 or MAGE05.

The ring one worked. What can I use to edit an item if I'm using Mac?
Thanks for the quick replies by the way , great site!

I haven't been able to find anything to edit with for MacOSX so I was wondering, could I attach the file for someone to edit it for me maybe?

Scratch that last pathetic question (can you tell I really hate the stuck ring? :p )
I'm going to check this out: http://ire.mainecoon.net/IRE/betas.html

and see if I can get the ring ... unflagged so I can drop it right?

You know, I made a few other items with the createitems that are acting odd ...
I created a few bags of holding and some scroll cases and a few jewelry bags and all the bags of holding share the same objects, plus the scroll case ended up copying one I already had with scrolls and they are shared too ... like if I use a scroll from one then the same scroll in the other disappears too...and same with the jewel bag. Funky huh?
I guess I should sell the weird shared stuff off to fix it?
Also I created that kill two handed sword and it really is overkill, plus it's small icon doesn't show in the holders slot unless it's in his stuff mode. Should I just sell that off too or drop it on the ground?
