- a rich variety of shops, restaurants & bars

Bah! We have -50(including windchill) weather here already, and we had some snow a while agho. I am not looking forward to the actual snow... oh geez, and the icy roads (paved roads are not as good as gravel in that case), so we can not drive anywhere but on the main roads... :D Life in the frozennnorth. I would say more but I already should of left five minutes ago. :o

Although some people here start wearing wool hats and thick coats as soon as temperature drops below 20°C, they do not go as far as wearing mittens. So no need for mittens. I even wonder if they know the word mittens. Mmm, worth investigating.
