What is up with Elves?

Yes you're right.......rest is good.....(why they even do it every now and then in BG2)....recover some hit points and memorise a few spells.......exactly what I need...

Yes, I agree entirely that a Romance with Nalia would have been Icing on the Stronghold Cake. To be Infatuated with a Big Strong Varrior like her Father.

In Fact, for Every "hold" type in the game a different Romance could have been very cool. (thieves, mages, Palladins, etc..)

Elves "do it" for the Designers I guess.....

Those could all be options for the expansions though. Mazzy, Nalia and have some others for the Females as well, Korgan or Minsc perhaps.

Elves are supposed to be inhumanly beautiful and desirable...that's why the designers chose them for romances. You ever see the covers for the Drizzt series that have Drizzt on them? It always annoyed me to no end that he looked so dam**d ugly. You can't have an ugly elf.

elfs are evil and vile creatures that live for destruction and death. The evli elf queen of sulldaneselar destroyed irenicus soul and helped him become what he really is, amd then banished him to fight for his life in the elementlal plane of air, irenicus took this seriosly and has dedicated his life to eracing his sighns that represent him as an elf (cutting his ears, putting on a mask ect.) so that he could someday avenge the evil elven queen! she brought him to the brink of madness and
he found a baby nearly half dead he gave it to the vampires, she grew up soon feeding on the blood of the less fortunate and came with irrenicus to help him destroy suldanesselar... the hatered formed between suldanesselar and irenucus formed extreme measures and irenicus turned to evil for his plans...

so the elves r the evil ones!

Well I am sorry but irenicus tried something in there that was EVIL he and his sister ALMOST KILL ALL THE ELVES THERE!!!!!
And she did not destroy his soul, she use a high magic spell that turn him and his sister in to humans.

i haven finished b gate 2 and im not sure of the plot but i read this book in 1995 and i think they cahnged the plaot

Changed the plot? How could they change a plot that wasn't created yet? I'm certain the Bhaal thing was original to BG.

I don't know about the queen (I'm still in Ch. 6), but Irenicus is definitely evil. Bodhi was also evil. The army of elves was good. The drow Irenicus was dealing with were bad. Nowhere is Irenicus portrayed as benevloent whatsoever.

Well, maybe the Queen in that book was evil, but she's not in BG2. And anyway, get it out of your head that all elves are evil. They're totally good by nature (except for the drow, unless you talk to Drakron) There are a few evil elves, but they're certainly in the negligible minority. Most elves are reclusive and arrogant, but not evil.

they probbably changed the plot and i was kidding about elfs being evil but the queen mu+st be the evil one bacause... um .... i dont remember... it was somethin about this helm of opposite alighment or something, idont know, i dont have that book anymore
