Witches and wizards?

I'm considering starting anew game on Morrowind as a spell caster, but I don't want to get beaten in close-combat with rats!

Which is the best race, occupation, weapons, or spells?

I think there are already threads on this subject...so you should do a search on this...I think this thread may be closed..Ill change my post and give you advice if fable keeps it open.

Well, you'll probably want to go with the Atronach(sp) sign, and a Dark Elf, High Elf or Breton.

Levitate, then attack with ranged spells.

Make sure you start out with ranged weapons, preferably bow, and use it a lot early on. It has helped me out of many a jams.
