Sightless Eye Quest? I'm stuck

Post by Scrable »

OK, heres the deal, i went into the cultists home and got the quest to find the all powerfull rod for the beholder. Now, on my way down i ran into Sassar (or something) telling me to bring it to him. He also said not to open the casket, which i did and killed the lich. The only thing is is that sassar died from the lich's fireball. I went through all of the underground city, and got the rod. I went to where sassar was and he's still dead. Then i went to the original guy who wanted the rod and gave it to him but he attacked me, i killed him, and now the THE SIGHTLESS eye atuomatically tries to kill me. I need him to take the rod and use it, to save the underground town.

You need him alive so you can get the other piece of the rod.Or you can...never mind try this first. If you want to try something differnt let me know it might be a spoiler.

Give your half of the rod to the priest and he'll attack and so will the Unseeing Eye, that's what you did right? That's just an alternate way to finish the quest. You don't HAVE to go down to the underground area, you miss a couple of nice items and some exp from killing other things, but nothing vital. Besides, the exp you get from giving the rod to the priest is 70,000! Which is alot more than you would get if you did the quest the normal way.

I thought that you only got that cloak in the suaghin city, when you kill the prince? If it is in this quest i will definatly start over.

I think flinfman was refering to how the cloak makes the beholders easy. Image

The Cult of Unseeing Eye quest can be skipped and attempted after going through the Sahuagin City, along with all the other side quests. So it is possible to get the cloak of mirroring first, then going to do the Cult of Unseeing Eye.

Beholders and Gauths may not be too difficult (although without the Cloak of Mirroring they are a lot more dangerous ... unless you've got Balduran's Shield of course), but Evil Eyes are enemies to be wary off ... they cast spells, and one of them is Imprisonment. Just don't get your main caught in that spell ...
