Help! My character is stuck :-(

I'm in Durlag's tower and just met Riggilo on level 3. Riggilo started walking towards my main character and I had my PC back up into the corner (Stupid and wimpy I know). After the conversation, I didn't want to fight him so now my character can't move anywhere to get around him. Is there a way to cheat past him so I can move on? I saved my game before I realized what happened. The only way is to fight him or load my automatic save which takes me way back to outside :-( How could my brave Paladin let this happen? sigh

there is a cheat that allows you to teleport your party to the place where the cursor is. can't remember what it is but if you go on google you should be able to find it.

The teleporting feature in BG2 (Ctrl-J) does not work in BG1. Gatekeeper can put your party on a different quadrant of the map, but there's no telling exactly where you will end up.

Why are you so afraid of Riggilo? You don't have to fight him if you are polite to him, and even if you are forced into a fight (by saying the wrong thing), he's not hard to kill, at least not compared to the other creatures you will meet in Durlag's Tower. If you have cold feet now, are you sure you're ready for Durlag's Tower?

i used the teleport cheat in bg1 doing durlags tower because i couldn't be bothered walking all the way to the guy to sell stuff too once i got outside the tower so it does work, although i had certain parts of the ease of use mod so don't know if it was part of that

mr_sir, to which teleporting cheat are you referring? I'm curious.

The "MoveToArea" console command will put you in the northwest corner of a map, so I guess that's one way to "teleport". But I don't think Ctrl-J works in BG1.

ctrl+j was the one i was using. but i added a few mods etc. so don't know if any of those added the ability to use ctrl+j
