Help! Everyone is running away from me

Post by sei »

I dont understand why all the villagers are running away from me. The bandits and the guards dont....only villagers and traders. Im playing Fables:TLC (PC).

Here's my character stats:
Attractiveness: +100

Scariness: +25 (I had this at +100 when they all started running away but I lowered it down by removing my tattoos and changed haircut)

Alignment: there is a halo on my character's head -- so I'm all good (I also attempted the Avo Temple/Skorm(?) Temple quests to change from good to evil to good again to see if the villagers reaction will change, didnt work).

Renown: This bar is already maxed out.

I also maxed out my Strength and Skills, the Will is still at level 2-4.

I noticed they started running away from me after I did the Execution Tree Rescue quest. Before that, I did the "beat-Lady Grey" cheat to increase my multiplier for the demon door by the Hobbes Cave.

Can anyone tell me how to make them like me again? No matter what I give to my wives -- they wouldnt glow green.

Also...is there a way to marry Lady Grey again after she divorced you?

I currently finished the "Fire Heart" quest from behind the demon door by the lookout point.

[...]

NOW, back with the main topic:
Perhaps it's because you did terrible thing in that city, and that the inhabitants aren't fool enough to forgive you only because you changed back to "light" alignment?
It might take some time... before they stop fleeing from your face... maybe you could give them gift?

thanks. I will try that.

As for the Demon Gate by the Hobbes Cave -- I tried increasing my multiplier in the Hobbes Cave by using Slow Time & Protect spells but I couldnt maintain the 14+ multiplier by the time I reach the demon door.

So to accomplish this, i did the following:
from the demon gate door, i transported to Bowerstone South, went to Lady Grey's bedroom (must be at night) and started beating her up until I got about 30+ multiplier then I transported back to the Demon Gate (Recall), when i transported back -- i noticed the multiplier decreased in half, so make sure before transporting back you have more than 30 multiplier. By doing it this way, Lady Grey will divorce you but you will still have access to the Mansion.
By doing it this way, Lady Grey will divorce you but you will still have access to the Mansion.
If I red right, a Divorce mean 600 Evil Alignment Points... You might wanna consider that before going wild on the pretty lady... (the shadow corrupted her!! She is a good person! I'm sure of it! I must free her from the darkness! loool )

EDIT for my previous post: Nice modo job! You're quick! Thumbs Up!

Here's a trick that no one seems to know about. It's just like beating your wife...except you don't get evil points.

Go into the BowerStone Quay at night. Wait until the boxers arrive, and then starting hitting the guy standing in the ring. The trick is to get him up against a wall, and then just keep smashing him, he won't have time to block, and you'll increase your combat multiplier. None of the other people will defend him, because the game reads it as the fight, however if you fight any of the other boxers they will attack.

Enjoy your non-evil CM.

And as for another of your questions, once divorced, you cannot get her back. Also, I believe that once you divorce someone in a town, they are less likely to want to marry you... so try other towns.
In memorian: Fiona; Ravager; Lestat; Phreddie; and all of those from the 1500 incident. Lest we forget.

i think my problem (villagers running away from me) was a glitch...because when I reloaded the game again - using the same profile - the villagers no longer run away, it went back to being a lovable person. The villagers have big floating hearts above their heads again. :) Reloading fixed it.
