Ming Must Die - help please!

hey, I'm on the Ming Must Die level, at the point where I need to move the wood barrier sealing the double doors, but upon pressing E when the option to move it comes up, nothing happens other than an odd clicking sound suggesting I need to do something first. do I? is this a glitch? am I doing something wrong? please help, I'm so near the end!

It's not an 'E thing', you have to push the bar with your character. Facing the door, the bar has a handle on the right side. Move close to the door, still facing it, then strafe right and you character should be able to slide the bar right. Try to face you character slightly left so that it doesn't strafe away from the bar and handle.

Sometimes the bar gets stuck, then move away from the door (and bar) and repeat the process. A save/reload may be neccesary if this doesn't work.
