Problem with "new posts" function

Post by vellu »

This could be browser (Firefox 1.07) related, but I'd like to know if anyone else is experiencing similar.

The previous visit time in the upper right corner shows correctly when I first enter the site, but when I click somewhere on the forum it resets to current time. This of course means there are no new posts to be found. Cookie related problem perhaps?

I run the same browser version and am not experiencing this problem, so it doesn't seem to be a browser issue.

This is how it happens.

First picture: Last visited is correct.

Second picture: Where ever I click next "last visited" gets set to current time (in this case I clicked "new posts" which naturally finds nothing, since I "last visited" a second ago.

However after this the time stays the same (so it doesn't reset on every click, just the first click after entering the site). What could be causing this is beyond me...

Seems to have been fixed, atleast hasn't happened in a couple last visits. Did you change something, or do I just file this under "one of those things related to god knows what"?

I looked into the problem, but never did find anything that would cause it. Let me know if it shows up again.

It seems to happen every now and then. That is, about half the time the timer gets reset and the other time it works as it should.

So far, I haven't noticed any pattern to what happens differently when it resets. Weird, but I can live with it.
