This little pipsqueak kept begging for money and I kept refusing his demands. Finally, he got so ticked off at me that he wouldn't talk to me anymore.
BUT, after making some rounds down in the sewers, I came back out of the Temple only to be confronted by this same 'former' beggar and he is equipped with some very nifty armor and gear.
Fortunately, I have a saved game just prior to meeting up with him and went back to get some Exclusive Restore Health potions. 18 bottles to be exact!!
In my next encounter, my summons spells barely made a commotion and I've gone through ALL 18 bottles of restore health and he seems to be taking nearly NO DAMAGE.
So, now for the question: How do you defeat this guy? OR, should I simply try to avoid him for now?

You buy 180 exclusive restore health potions, stock up on every power up you can think of, summon as many creatures as you can, get blessings from the woman in front of the temple, and hit him with non-enchanted weapons. Run away when injured.
The evil nature of GameBanshee revealed below!
GameBanshee sells Xandax to make ends meet
Then, as if that was not enough, they decide to get rid of me via sweepstakes as well

I think thats the guy that has like 700 luck, if so you can drain his luck as much as possible to get a good shot at him.

Here's something that just dawned on me:
How come, if I decide to attack someone out in the open like this area, I'm covered with High Ordinators at the drop of a hat.
BUT, this little pipsqueak starts in attacking me and the High Ordinators are just casually walking past like nothing's happening?
Big hypocrites!!!

Hahahahaha!!
Gaeron is no more!!!!
First I broke his shield.
Then I drew him near the temple doors so I could sneak in and refresh my spells.
Then, I would cast all my summons, build up my Luck, and, with weapon in hand, go through the doors once again and commence the battle.
With all my summons working on him, too, he often couldn't respond as quickly and was taking hits pretty fast.
This was a battle more like I had expected with Dagoth Ur.

Until you right click and realize that you have 0 luck - Gaenor has, I believe, 100% reflect.

soz for reviving this old thread but i wanted to suggest to you the way i dealt with this little pesky elf. i gave him gold for start but when he doubled ammount i told him no and he got mad. in the meantime i was doing stuff around city but after two days he reappeared and really started annoying me. he killed me twice before i actually grasped the idea that he has reflect and that it wasnt him killing me but me damaging myself with my own spells. needless to say i was furious. i managed to kill him with ranged spells frost damage 100 for 1 sec at target. it was fifth fight i think. in first two i was attacking him with bound longsword in third-fourth trying to kill him with touch/target area spells.
i was actually running away backwards and hitting him with spells. out of 20 some 7-8 worked and killed him. other backfired at me ofc. so beware of that. he is literally one of the most hard to hit creatures in the game. imagine my dissapointment when i found no interesting stuff at him to take :/ ah at least i gave that ebony armor to my mercenary
regards
