lvl 8 sorc spell

Post by Vicsun »

Just wandering what would you suggest. I don't like any of them (8 lvl spells).

And a question. Why doesn't symbol death kill anything? Everyone save vs death on it. I can't even kill imps...

And another question. Are the symbols triggered by my party members\me and does it hurt (stun?) them?

Abi-Dalzim's Horrid Wilting, Incendiary Cloud and Summon Fiend are some good attack spells.

Improved Mantle, Simulacrum and Spell Trigger are some good defensives spells.

As for Symbol Death I've never used it.

The symbol death spell doesn't affect anything with more than 60 hp and it does't modify the saving throw. Hence it doesn't work too well. It's sole strength is that it can be stacked, much like a trap, with repeated castings.

I really recommend Spelltrigger, simulacrum and pierce shield. Heck I even try to level up as quickly as possible just to reach these spells as many of my very best strategies involves them. Good luck to you.

Well , i think Sorcerers suck . I can estimate that playing a sorcerer is pretty boring aswell . I mean , you have no challegenge for searhing for power . A mage always seeks for more power ,but when you play a sorcerer its like "ah level up! let's check new spells .." No challenge , no ambition and no inspration .. nah not for me ..

Symbol Death is not a spell i use , i tried it for a time but Death Spell is far better .
Symbol Death effects you and your party aswell. You can endup with a "Gameover" screen
if you do not use it wisely.
Abi-Dalzims Horrid Wilding is an awesome spell .Try it in hell against Irenicus's fiends and demons . I also recommend Finger of death which is my favorite spell in game .(finishing off dragons) With Robe of Vecna and Amulet of Power :"Instant Death".

Single greatest spell in game: Abi-Dhalzim's Horrid Wilting. Huge damage, area effect, doesn't harm party members. Can't ask for much more. Couple of those suckers will end any battle prematurely.

I agree with all who posted here. Abi Dhalzim's Horrid Wilting is awesome. Area affect spell that only hurts enemies.

Spell Trigger is very useful as well. Same with Incendiary Cloud.

Similacrum is the most powerful spell in the game, IMO. It has some astounding creative uses.

Indeed, Magusg said it. This is a FORUM, not a CHATBOARD! There's a difference in them.
