Has this happened to anyone?

Post by wenninjj »

Recently I was strolling around the Umar Hills at night during a thunderstorm. I stopped to check on some items in my inventory. I didn't pause the game.
While I was looking through my various characters packs, my character let out a grunt much like the ones he makes while getting his a$$ whomped on. When I looked at his image icon on the top right of the screen he had lost about 75% of his hit points.
I quickly clicked on the return to game button prepared to destroy the attacker only there wasn't one.
I scrolled through the event bar at the bottom of the screen and the only thing I found was Lightening:Mycharater.
As best as I can figure my character was struck by a bolt of lightening from the storm!!.
Has this ever happened to anyone else?

That is awesome, but no It has never happened to me. Little things like that make the game interesting.

I happened to me all the time in BG1... Rarer in BG2, but also deadlier (30 to 80 damages vs 1 to 10...).

I seem to get zapped by lightning routinely. But the frequency is far greater than would occur in normal life. Boots of rubber anyone?
