Hello People... I'm new here, but a BG player since it arrived here in Brasil.
I'm in the 3rd level on the basement of Durlag's Tower, and after dispatch all the four guardians, my party wasn't teleported into the Chess board.
Anyone can help me with some cheat? Only to pass this bug, cause I don't like cheats...
Thankyou for all, and forgive my poor english, since I didn't practice so much.
Chess Board... Bug in my game
Chess Board... Bug in my game
I want to see the Baldur's Gate Movie/trilogy in the theaters!!!
I've not played Tales of the Sword Coast, but have you tried reloading to a previous game and tried again?
As for cheats, I'm not sure if it would work, but perhaps you could use CLUAconsole to teleport there. A complete list of area codes for Badlurs Gate and Talkes of the Sword Coast can be found here: http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/BG/index_tips.php
Download the "The Great Book of Baldur's Gate and Tales of the Sword" (Tenth file down) and when downloaded look around for it - I'll do it now (I'm so nice..and bored), but it may take a while.
Do you know how to use CLUAConsole?
Edit: Ah, I think I've found it:
AR0506 "The Chessboard" in Durlag's Tower.
I presume this is it?
Also, your English is quite good for some who doesn't practice much.
Edit 2: (Ok, I'm going to sum up how to cheat to get to the "chessboard" level, so you can ignore all the above post about cheating [I'm leaving it there so people can see the work I did ])
In order to cheat, like doing what is described above, you must first enbale it to happen.
First off, make a copy of the "Baldur.ini" file, and your saved games (just to be safe) and keep the copy safe. Then, edit the "Baldur.ini" file in the game directory. Add the line "Cheats=1" under the [Game Options] heading.
Then, while your playing, press CTRL and TAB to bring up the console.
However, here I'm not sure what to do - if someone knows, can they give a hollah?
But I'm fairly sure that, in the console, type the following:
CLUAConsole:MoveToArea("AR0506")
And press enter. Still, I'm not sure, so before you do it, save the game in a separate slot.
And that is how you can cheat to reach the "Chessboard" level in Durlags Tower.
Phew...

GREAT!!!
I finally get the soultaker dagger at the end of Durlag's Tower.
After arrive Ulgoth's Beard to the final battle of the expansion with Aec'Letec the Nabassu, the cultist quest not triggered, maybe because I used cheats to finish the Durlag's Tower...
So... I decided to uninstall the game and reinstall... If it not work, I'll think about another plan... pwahuahuahauahuahauhauahau....
See the next chapter of my saga... hehehe

Ok... That's it... The final Battle with Sarevok didn't trigger, the Sarevok celebration to be a Grand Duke didn't trigger, all the game colapsed... I'll forgot this game and restart from Candlekeep with another character.
Thankyou Fenix for the help.

Save your savd games, I think someone can post a solution soon enough. Also just try and replay it from a previous save, The game is hard sometimes and has a few glitchs but will and usually functions normally. Start over if you wan tjust save a few saves. I bet we can lick this error.
Screamming!!!!!!!!!!!!
