I just finished the Asylum and I noticed that my PC Ranger has lost all of his special abilities except for charm animal. I looked at an older save game and I had:
2x cure lt wounds
2x slow poison
2x draw upon holy might
7x charm animal
I am Fricking pissed! All of my good abilities are gone. Any idea how I lost them?
(I haven't been level drained)Is there any way to get them back - cheating or otherwise???
You are not the only one with taht problem. I have a barbarian, and he has lost all his abilities, except for the barbarian rage. Before that he had Vampiric Touch and Laroch's Minor Drain as well. THIS IS REALY ANOYING

Irenicus stole your sole. You lost all your divine abilities. Kinda sucks, huh? All the more reason to find him and reclaim what is rightfully yours!

On the plus side soon you'll have the Slayer ability that really lays down the hurt but docks your rep 2 points everytime yuo use it. But that's what bribing the church is for .
Draw upon holy might sure was nice, and cure lt wounds is great for healing mages. At least now I know that I didn't lose these abilities when I chose to give up a point of intelligence during the dream sequence. I thought it may have put me under the limit to get them or something.
Somewhere I read that right before you are going to lose anything important, export your guy right before. Then take the dock of stat skill whatever then import the old one back in.

Late reply, I know, but I didn't see this thread till today.
About exporting/importing to get around losing abilities or that ability point... That only works if you're playing a multiplayer game, right? Is there any way to get around that stuff in a single-player game?
