A bug problem

Post by absolutely_sure »

I am in the Drow city and I was starting the first quest that was given to me by Solaufein to rescue the matrom mothers daughter from the mind flayers. The problem is he never leaves the drow city to meet me at the location. Ive done this quest a million times so Im pretty sure its a bug. when he gave me the quest, he teleported out but when I go back to the platform, hes standing there and he won't talk to me. If I cant complete this quest, im going to lose out on a lot of exp. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem or am I going to have to kill all the drow to continue. I am playing a 3 character multiplayer game if that matters any. Thanks

Also, I dont have any old saves from before I talked with him and recieved the quest so im either going to have to find some way to fix it or start killing drow.

Thanks

If it comes up with the red Solaufein - Has nothing to say to you , then it does indeed sound like something bad. Are you absolutely_sure (Pun intended :p ) you don't have any saved games prior to speaking with Solaufein? No autosave? Or have you left to go look about outside and as a result 'erased' your autosave?

[Possible spoilers]If you don't have an autosave, then it sounds like time to instill some new Bhaalspawn justice in the Drow city, just kill them all - but if you're cut about losing the dear exp gained with those quests (I'm not sure whether killing them all equals the exp from their quests), then just add a little with CLUAConsole. [/possible spoilers]

Hope that helps

Have you tried going down to the place anyway?

I'm not sure, but I believe he stands there waiting until you leave the city, and then he goes down there.

I dont have any saves available and he doesnt show up to the designated area. When I went back to the city, he was still standing on the platform. I took the killing route and all though Im sure I didnt get the exp that the quests would have given me, I did enjoy it quite a bit. I am trying the Wizardslayer/Thief class and I need all the exp I can get. I took my Wizardslayer to 15 and when I dual classed, I discovered that I still couldnt use any magic items other than armor and weapons until I get use any item ability. I cant use inv. potions or a ring of inv. This made me a very underpowered thief and I have been having some difficult times as I am also only using Aerie and Imoen so I am tankless but the challenge is entertaining. Thanks for the help guys
