Your fav stealth kill method.

Post by Mavrik »

Well I like to try stealth kills with any weapon but found the tire iron and the floppy human arm to be the least entertaining.

My favs so far are

1:Katana(sword, sneak up and shove that right up through the chest heh)
2:Iron Hook(forget the real name, long wooden handle with hooked blade, hooks the guy by the neck and tosses him around)
3:Sledge hammer (nice little swing then BANG across the head)
4:baseball bat (Batter up? Heres the wind up, the pitch, he swings! POP Outta the ball park!)
5:Knife(Nothing like a good ol tackle from behind and then slice open their throat. To bad the blood doesn't mist into the air like in MGS series)

Its to bad you can't do stealth kills with guns though, you know grab the guy, put the gun to his head and pull the trigger. Or in situations were your not allowed to kill anyone, how about a stealth knock out move, you can hit the guy on the head with the handle or something. Or instead of hacking computers or finding clues to the numbers on the electric door security pads, interigate the info from a nearby guard, then knock him out. I know I know, someone is going to say go play MGS or Splinter Cell. I already do.

It's called a bush-hook. My father had one, and I've used it. It exists, like a Pickeroon.

I quite liked it bare-handed too. Good ole neck-breakin' ;)

Amongst weapons, I best like the katana, if only for the musical accompaniment.

But I like the stealth-suck best: you sneak up on somebody and then hit F. The nice thing is that you don't need to be exactly behind them.

What is annoying is that you can't stealth kill someone when there is also the possibility of conversation (e.g. some of the Giovanni bodyguards). Even if you sneak up to them from behind, the kill icon doesn't show up, only the talk icon... oh well, feeding time!

I like the knife. Simple and effective.

Weapons? PFFFT!

I'm a more "hands on" type.

My ventrue was a monster with his katana... Suicide one dude, quickly kill another with the sword and then suck the third; never failed. As mentioned before the musical effect was a nice touch... I also seemed to notice that you could stealth kill someone from farther away with the katana. That may not be technically true, but it sure seemed so in my experiences; just a slight difference in range, but it seemed much more forgiving with how you placed yourself and how far away you were. The bushhook was nice too, but for actual fighting purposes it seemed a tad bit slower.

Bare-hand and stealth feed should be pretty obvious. With the Katana, your character shoves it through the heart of the victim from behind with a nice oriental jingle. With the Bush Hook, your character thwacks the victim, turning it over in mid-air and dropping it on the ground (nice visual). I'm not sure what happens with other weapons.

the fire axe, you just kinda jump at them and swipe it at their head or neck as if you are decapitating them

i've used the arm in fights but never for a stealth kill. personally i think the arm is a bit of a pointless weapon as the knife has all the same stats as it anyway. it just looks silly running around or sneaking around with a wobbling arm as a weapon.

edit: tried the arm, its the same as a stealth kill with the tire iron - you just use it to strangle them/break their neck

Is it? It's rather stereotypical, the raving lunatic, now with the severed arm.
