No, I didn't. But then I don't know too much about country singers. Why the obsession then?
With the recent temperatures you'd think it'd freeze anyone used to Texas.

It's an American thing. They get romantic about freight trains - always leaving on them; hearing the lonely whistle of them; getting over a broken heart by riding on them (for free usually) etc etc etc. I think Americans are intrigued by a romantic notion of the hobo life, but without anything awkward like walking.

Yeah, one of those Ameriacn dream things.
They should try London, there's plenty of trains to be found there. :p

Somehow the tube lacks a certain wild romanticism. IMO

It's hard to sing under the Underground anyway. :p
There's plenty of mainline trains too, that's how I get into London. And there's always the elusive freight trains too. They go from London to Tilbury. Tilbury being the docks used after London was mostly closed down fo commercial trading via water. Tilbury's mostly dead now too though.
Oh, there's this place with lots of those little lock-up things under bridge arches. Bow Industrial Triangle I think it's called. Perfect venue for those who like to hear trains. Underground trains and mainline trains there :p
Wow, I didn't ramble too much there did I?

Not at all. The venue last night was in one of those very arches (only in Scotland, not London) It is called, in testament to the originality of the Scots, the Arches. It isn't ideal to have the noise of trains at a music venue, but it's probably post-modern or something.
A lesser mortal would have discreetly left, if they thought that was going on. But you are made of sterner voyeuristic stuff, I see :p
And yet, I am not a lesser mortal. I reside in Valhalla.

Ah. I didn't realise you were dead. And yet....didn't I kill you myself? Accidentally. Demortis, I'm sorry. You died of greed and not in battle. You cannot be in Valhalla. It's against the rules. :p

Would it be the Pretas realm or something? (Buddhist I think)

Just saw a fox standing on a shed in broad daylight. Nice.

I had to look that up, but as far as I understood from a quick skim that is a very likely explanation for the phenomenon that is Demortis

Lucky you with the fox.

Heh. I don't know much about Buddhism though, so don't ask any questions about it. :p

And the fox is now just basking on the shed...

But, was I truely greedy, or did I use the money to help those in need?
