Any way to keep your items when you import a character?
I finished the game once with a necromancer and started a new one (this time a multiplayer to use three characters). Of course i didn't have my items when i started, but i never found them in Irenicus's dungeon... Is there hope of finding them (i had some great items with me)
I'm pretty sure this works as I've tried a variation of it. Create a new multi-player game using the characters that you want in your group. Start the game, then save immediately after Imoen rescues you. Quit out of the game and create a new multi-player session ("create game" and choose your save). Rather than accepting the characters that are there, import your characters again (don't check their names, rather "create character" and "import" again). Now, when you play, the characters you imported have their equipment. This may not work with the main character (check to see if s/he has their Bhaal abilities still). You can easily get around it by just giving your main characters equipment to one of the other characters.

THis site has 2 strategies. There is the one above for multiplayer.
THen there is the single player. Import your save as a single player. Pause the game before the scream and "Ah the child.." cr*p and hit "h" to see your menus - go into your pack and drop all your stuff on the ground (put all the best stuff on 1 guy before you do all this)... and you can thank me later.

Gruntboy: Does your strategy happen to get around the inability to import/export containers? By the way, where is that strategy posted (I looked on Buck's main page and I couldn't find it).

Ubik, may the fleas from 1000 fat, farty, filthy dogs infest your underpants.
Doltan, the strategy is, funnily enough, on the strategies page. It an 'importing items' strategy. I haven't tried but i see no reason why cases etc. won't work. I tried on Bg1 and I get items that aren't even designed for Bg2 Heh heh.
