Post by fanatic »

i heard kesai mage is the most popular soloing character but don't u need a thief?
i mean there's lots of traps in BG2 and lots of chest need to be opened by a thief...
so kensai/mage can't really go without a thief right?

nope because all locked doors that are coincided with the quests that you must do can easily be opened with forcing them open.n I just started a kensai mage and found if you use draw upon holy might most doors or locked chests open if you force them open.

Yeah let them damage you but some traps are sob's to get past like disintegrate and those very annoying maze spells that litter the ground at the shadow thieves guild hall.
Otherwise most traps do low damage to you

Yes, the trap question hit me too. Sure, with enough HP you just take a fireball or cloudkill trap, but there are some rather nasty traps around that are on-hit-killers. How do you get around them? Saving throws?

There 'ain't no other way - that's what thieves are for.

Summon allies and have them walk in front of you? Have high magic resistance.

That should stop all but the cr*ppy physical traps. Few healing potions should take care of that? Image
