One more question.
I am a level 9 fighter with three in dagger proficiencies. I have two unused slots, and would like to specialize in dagger, since I prefer being a mage. Morte has four slots in "hand", and he is level 8. Why is it that I can't get my fourt marker in "daggers"?
Specializing in weapons
Spoiler
Spoiler:
I think you can talk to Korur by where you first enter the Lower Ward for additional slots, if applicable (see below).
See Gamebanshee's walkthrough if still unsure.
I think you must have attained level 7 initially as a Fighter, as opposed to initially attaining level 7 as a Thief or Mage, to apply 4 slots towards 1 weapon type (level 12 initially as a Fighter to apply 5 slots).

Why is it that whenever I finally get around to playing a new game for the first time,
I feel like playing Baldur's Gate for the second time...

Korur can't train
Yes I know about Korur, but he can't give me higher than the three dots I've already got. He says I must *specialize". I mustmake my body into a weapon and devote my life to the warrior path. The thing is, that Morte has four dots as a level 8 fighter..... me no understand...... guess I'll just switch to mage an' blast em' with some o' that killer magic!

And I think you need to initially attain level 7 *and* 12 as a Fighter to apply 5 slots.
