Assorted questions!
How long can some spell effects last? While fighting a Mummy in the Warrens of the Damned I got hit with Reduced Movement and Reduced Strength. Over an hour of real time, and two Rests, later both are still in effect. How can I get back to normal?
I’m a fighter. I’ve found assorted scrolls – can I give them to a suitable henchman, and, if so, how? Or is the only use I can make of them to sell them?
How does the magic system work with regard to magic-using henchmen? Their ‘Cast Spell’ option is always empty. I can’t find a way of giving them a spell scroll, I’ve tried resting them, hoping they'll learn something, but it makes no difference.

The longest spells last until you rest.
You can get back to normal with a Restoration scroll or spell.
In the expansions you can look in your henchman's inventory, at least, you can in Hordes. I'm not sure if they auto-use them though. The level 6+ scrolls often sell for a lot, if I remember right.
In Hordes, you can tell magic-using to buff up your party. I'm not sure if they will use spells in combat though.
Hope that helps.

I believe the same also applies to Shadows of Undrentide.
To get henchman casting those spells you need to iniate dialog with them.

using the radial menu on a henchman just shows your spells not theirs. like others said, you have to ask them in converstation to cast buffing spells etc. offensive spells they will cast whatever they feel is appropriate in a battle. you have no control over that. you can get them not to cast at all though but using the radial menu on them to toggle spell casting on and off.
as for spell durations. if a spell does not wear off after a while you need to use restoration or something. mummies disease you and the effects of that and/or poison usually wear off after rest. if not you need to use a lesser restoration potion or, if you don't have the ability to cast a restoration spell or use a scroll, go to a temple or back to aribeth (in chapter 1 only) and get her to heal you.
