Clearing the Moathouse
OK. so I cleared the Moathouse, all bad guys-even the crab- left nothing alive, especially not Lareth. I got his Diary, I took it to Furnok to get it opened, and then I read the whole thing, I went to Rufus and Berne, and --Nothing. No new Dialogue, no ending of the quest, nothing. What am I doing wrong??
It's better to to take your chances and live life, than to look back later and wish you had.

Open your World Map - Nulb should be available for you to travel to.

OK-- here's what I found out over at Circle of 8 --
You have to finish this quest in a certain order or it won't complete. Terjon gives this quest to some- but you must report back to him before finding Nulb on your map- if Terjon doesn't mark Nulb on your map- he won't complete the quest for you-ever
Jaroo gives this quest to others and he will only complete it for you if he triggered by a True Nuetral person or group- I wasn't clear on whether it had to group alignment or just the person talking to him.
So.. I wil never have this one completed.

Bummer. That's pretty stupid, but I can see how it happens if the Terjon dialog event that triggers the completion of the quest is one where he marks Nulb on your map and if that event won't happen when you've already got it marked on your map. Dumb, but whatchya gonna do, eh?
On the brighter side, I know there is a way to use the console to change reputations, so perhaps one of the modders at co8 know a way to use it to change the quest status as well. Something about setting various "flags".
