The Enigmatic Jaheira Romance Script *spoilers maybe*

Post by Kordeth »

Sweet merciful Tyr!!! The developers said this was the hardest romance, and they were right--but not because of challenging roleplaying or Jaheira being hard to wear down, but because the event triggers are so obscure you never get dialogue!!! Okay, done ranting, onto the question: What if anything triggers Terminsel's second visit? I've been roaming Amn and Tethyr for nearly a month after killing Dermin (and I'm 99.9% sure I got the "New Dawn" dialogue a long time ago), sleeping in Forests, Inns, cities, everything......it's a matter of my stubbornness now, I have to complete this romance. Any idea where the bloke is?

Nope, that's not my problem. I've killed monsters by the dozens, and haven't gotten that question since VERY early in the scripted sequence. Thanks anyways, though. Any ideas on Terminsel? That's the only part of the quest I haven't gotten.

There are tree things you have to do to get a step closer: the Jaheira's Curse quest (The in dock dis.) buy her the amulet (fat guy in bridge dis. I think) and the drow quest (arena battle)
Did you do them all?

Yes, yes, and yes--though I fail to see what the arena battle has to do with the romance--unless you mean sleeping with Phaere, which I did NOT do.

Did you check the topic..Jaheira romance too slow.. From what i read there your close to the end,at lest you got further than i got, they say to stand around .Remember 2 hours real time is 24 game time;might be worth letting the game run for couple hours to see.Hope this helps.

Unless you let the thieves, or what ever they were, slit here throat instead of your own in Umar hills and didn't flirt too much with the other female members I can't help any further, sorry.

You could always use the CLUA Console command for making "Terminsel" appear...and give his blessing....if you are really desperate that is.......although I can´t really remember the exact CLUA Console command for making him appear, so if anyone out there knows of it could you please post it.

Here are the commands for spawning Terminsel:

CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("TerminselSpawn","GLOBAL",4)
CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("TerminselAppear","GLOBAL",0)

As usual, use all cheat commands with caution.......

Okay, now I'm bleepity bleeping annoyed...Terminsel FINALLY shows and gives Jaheira the pin......no friggin' romance dialogue. I rested outside (since that's what triggers most of Jaheira's romance dialogues) but......nothing. Argh.

Why would you want Jaheira anyway? She's the least cute of the three female romance NPCs. I chose Aerie, she's a way better NPC as well. Truth said, I got sick of Jaheira whilst playing BG1. So I didn't want her in my party in BG2, not to mention date her too! Flirting with Aerie is much more fun. Admitted, she whines a lot in the beginning, but just like in real life you have to calm her down and then strike Image.

Romancing Aerie and Viconia doesn´t really add anything special to the game because they are so easy and they don´t come with any interesting sideplots......whereas Jaheira is one tough elven lass....and she is by far the most attractive NPC...(in my opinion)

Viconia not tough? Are you sure we're talking about the same Drow female Elf here??

I agree with Karembeau--I think Jaheira's portrait is more attractive than Aerie's--Viconia doesn't even enter into it--I'm a paladin, fer cryin' out loud. Image

Actually I don´t consider the Viconia romance to be tough....seems that almost anyway you answer her you get to sleep with her three times.....although I don´t think the Jaheira romance was meant to be so challenging......there´s just so much that can go wrong romancing her.....it´s a wonder some people could complete it without having all the facts and knowing exactly what to do...
