Morphing...

What abilities do rangers have? Can they morph into wolfs? What about pets?

Ranger can not morph without a cloak.

If I got "Cloak of the wolf" in BG1 does it remain with me when I start a game in BG2?

Somethings are transported ,the cloak i never heard of it being moved over.There is a cloak in BG2 that will let you change.Cloak of the Sewer.

That's right but i said change i didn't say what to .If you want it real bad hack in.I had 6 pair of Boots of Speed in BG1.Lost them all;but i did get 2 Helms of Baldur in BG2.

The sewer cloak will let you morph into a mustard jelly, which has some pretty good resistances. You can check em out in the table on this site.

Being a rat actually makes you harder to hit and you can still do the same amount of damage. That's what it looks like anyway. I haven't tested it. It's definitely not a glorious animal to morph yourself into.
"Yeah! and uhhh...I can change into a sewer rat! Huh? Come on..you know you want me."
