Which would you take?

Post by Decimate »

hey all, been playing for about a week and DL is a cute time filler for when a more complete product comes around. Its a shame because it really had some great potential and i think I would have had more pride than launching a game so utterly unfinished but money is money and the Devs gotta eat.

After playing with various combos I have decided i definatly like being able to dual wield vs single wep and I like beefing up at moonbeasts and want to try softening up bunches of em with Novas..so which is better for long term and end game( as little as it it);>?

Fighter/Maurader/(mage or adept?)/Enchantress/warwitch

or

Fighter/Samurai/(mage or adept?/Enchantress/warwitch?

I know I want enchantress cuz staring at a girl's butt throughout game is way better than a dudes:laugh: but also she gets both scribe and channel which is awesome and i want dual wield so its either samurai or maurader for 2nd tier.

Coupe of questions too-

I am assuming that all classes get access to all spells regardless if they choose a melee class or magic using? its just the cost of skills that changes?

I think I will be missing heavy shields only if I take the samurai path as warwitch gets heavy armor..how bad is that?

Any suggestion or advice is appreciated.

Thanks

Take Samurai, it gives you "inflict wounds" which is better than "sneak"

(my 2 cents...)

try

Fighter/Mararuder/Valkrie/Rogue(just go for the Treasure map)/Deathlord

to receive heavy armor/shields/weapons, med-dual w/sneak weapon and opening chests(attributes are cheaper), plus w/inflict wounds

or replace the Rogue with the Mage and receive the use of magic weapons and sneak..although you pay for it to make picking locks easier.

I use the Human Female and been successful.

I did fighter/mage/marauder/enchantress/war witch. I took marauder over samurai to have earlier access to heavy weapons, but I found that I couldn't dual wield with most of the heavy weapons I found (only barbtongue blade seemed to work), so I was better off with a medium weapon and using dual wield. Sneak is moderately useful, though, as most enemies ignore me when I summon. That really helped when fighting what's-her-name for the war witch quest. Don't know how good inflict wounds is. It seems you need an advanced adept class to have access to a lot of celestial spells. At least, when I got enchantress that didn't give me more choices, but I haven't been back to a temple since I got war witch. Hope that helps.
