Help...Stuck at Shadow ruins

Hello everyone, I have activated three rune glyphs and one last remains, but after searching EVERYTHING, reading EVERYTHING in the forums about Shadow ruins I cannot proceed to the place with the three athena statues and then go on to the last stage of the Shadow ruins. I'm stuck because the ONE and ONLY shadow stone I found I used it in the "chess-like" room to get the magic sword. Everywhere says (forums) that in the Shadow ruins Hub in the room with the small pool where you're attacked by two Templar knights two shadow stones are supposed to drop (I didn't see anything!) and then you put them on the two Athena statues room (Shadow ruins hub on the right) opening a gate obviously to the final area e.t.c.

What can I do? I've searched 1000s of times every inch in the Shadow ruins. It is the only dead end place...

Did you activate "shift" the loose book at #3. That opens the gate 'B' which allows you to access the templar knights. If you've already killed those knights but you now don't have the stones then you are boned and will have to revert to an earlier save. D

The room with the templar knights was one of the first places I visited when I entered the Shadow ruins...unfortunatelly all my last saves are after that.

I cannot believe that the game stucks now!
Should I start the game again? No way! Hope find a solution.

I've seen this problem before and you're right to be angry about it. You shouldn't be able to use the stones in the wrong places it is some bad programming to be sure. I see you looked around for the stones and I've never heard, that I can recall, anyone finding them after the fact. My guess is the places to look are the chess game and the statue room north of the Kingston room. The statue on the north side of the statue room may still have a stone if you never took it. So assuming those stones are now gone then you're left with plan B or C. Plan B is to restart the game

. Plan C is to hex edit your game and give yourself 2 stones. I've never edited my game but if you look at the top of the page at the thread " Alternate Method for Obtaining Demon Key" you'll find a method to add something to inventory. Then look at "Item List Completed_sorted Alphabetically" you can find the hex number for a shadow stone. I'm afraid there is no other advice to give you. Sorry for your troubles and good luck D

I have just gathered all the useful info and the hex editor to try "creating"
some shadow stones in my inventory. Don't know yet if it works, I'll try later.

Hex editor - more then useful!

dear frencliff and all in this forum, i finally managed to replace two of my older useless items with the precious stones i needed using the hex editor and continued my game.

a big thank you. Hope to finish the game alone without more help...or programming bugs!!
