Monk Soloing advice needed

OK...you other guru's out there. I have a problem.

I am soloing a monk (very fun), anyway, my problem is this. I have gotton through the whole game, beaten all kinds of monsters, handed a giant can of whup-a** to creatures from here to the nine hells. I am now at the final battle. I have -11 AC...almost 100% magic resistance...30,30,70 resistance to fire,elec,cold in that order...I can beat the demons that irenicus summons senseless. BUT the slayer form of Irenicus kicks my ASS.
Understand...Im no rookie...i've beaten the game 2 times now with a party of 6 and 5...but my solo monk cannot seem to finish him. I tried everything/trick I know and cannot do it...I've gotton so close but he gets the final hit...Do you have any ideas?

My stun and quivering palm have not been able to connect..even with my thaco of -1 as myself and -5 as the slayer. I have 4 attacks to his 2...I even have the scarlet ninja-to giving me 5 attacks but he hits more often than I do.

I am currently at a loss, it wouldn't be so bad if i could save after defeating those demons but i have to go through them over and over again and that gets tiring...

any advice would help..i've even considered going back and taking the evil path so I get blackrazor...do you think this would make a difference?

Anyway sorry for the long post..just wanted to be clear

im not exactly an advanced player, so i can't really give u advice, but wouldnt taking the evil path be wasted after u got thru the whole game as good

i mean, its kinda a morals thing...

erm.i finsihed soloing.
played the game three times.never solo with monk.
but i think blackrazor won't help much...
your thaco only -1 ?
thats not right.u have gaunglets of crushing?
what level are u?i assume u are level 20.
i think u need potion of speed.a lot of potion .gaunglets of crushing.etc.
the point is get better equipment

Well thanks for the attempt to help guys, i actually did finish the game last night. I realized that I was waiting for him to run out of spells and attacking him similacrum which meant when he ran out of spells i wasnt able to get enough hits in to kill him. So I just basically concentrated all efforts on irenicus disregarding the image. So by the time he ran out spells he was already weak enough for me to transform into the slayer and finish the job.

BTW.. my thaco is -1 because I never found the gauntlets of crushing. I did the sahuagin city but it was not in the safe or on the kings body...pissed me off.

Oh another sidenote monks cannot use potions of haste....they are already too fast

One more thing...i had the best armor you can have as a monk...except for the gauntlet of crushing...It wasnt my equipment or speed that was holding me up just my tactic

As a side note regarding the gauntlets of crushing. You need to side with the crazy fish king not the rebel king. The fish king will give you the reward for killing the rebel prince and even if you kill the crazy fish king he won't have the gauntlets.
