I think you have to put it in before the last peice. I might be wrong though or maybe you just talk to him and he will let you. It might be in the Walkthough. Again I'm just guessing here :)

You install the fifth component in conversation with HK after you have re-activated him. The first time I bought and installed it, there was noone in my party but HK (obviously activated and walking around), so changing the sequence and Bao Dur are red herrings. However, I'm not sure whether or not there are any skill requirements to install it (computer/repair)?

Darn, I should not have left. Another question that was easy to answer... :D

Anyways, I dont think you require any skill, as you did not need skill to add the other pieces you recieve...

You have to attempt to install it before he gets activated, then activate him and speak to him about it. That is the only way. And since you have to have completed dantooine and onderon to get the package.

Thats what I can remember.

Can someone enlighten me about this? I've played throught the game several times but completely missed this 'fifth part', and I don't remember seeing it in any of the walkthroughs I've read. Where do you get it and what do you do with it?

The pacifist device can be obtained from Geeda, the female rodian merchant, on Nar Shaddaa, after stabilizing Onderon and Dantooine, and running the other merchant of Nar Shaddaa.

You install it into HK-47 through dialog options. I have never done this, but most people take it out at the end of the conversation (is it even possible to take it out?).

I don't usally pay attention to what I pick up, but I have noticed if you complete Nar Shaddaa first, you can get all the parts on that planet and install them in one hit.

It's not too hard to find... Most are collected from the HK-50 droids.

It's actually a funny dialog between the new peace loving HK-47 & your character "protect meatbag life" is one of the funny ones. I saved a game right before installing it & played it through most of the options. No matter what your converse, it ends up coming out. Who needs a 'love not lasers' droid anyway?

You get 500 xp for the incident & HK gets a bonus to his wisdom & awareness

Yes, HK was a funny character. And I enjoyed his story quite well.

All the characters have their quirks, but I know that a lot of people enjoyed HK because he is so unique. Especially with his definition of love. ;)

Playing through all his dialouge options are indeed worth it. In fact, you even learn some things that you did not know when you played the first KotOR and got adicted to his wit then...

Once talking with HK, I too did learn about some things about Revan and his past that you can't find out unless you play this game.

It was well worth the listening.

i didnt get the pacifist part but after i had completed HK-47, i could buy more of his parts from merchants. I think i acquired two extra HK control clusters and a HK processor. possibly a glitch or is there some use for them too? i ended up converting them for a quick lightsaber upgrade.

There are multiple locations where you can pick up some of the HK parts, but other parts you have to pick them off the destroyed HK-50s. :)
