Romance in kotor 2? -spoilers.
I've played through kotor2 a couple of times already. When playing a make there seems to be some romantic tension between my character and handmaiden as well as main character and visas. Nothing has ever come of this. When the main character is female the same goes between her and atton. I was wondering if any romance is possible between any of the characters. Since it was a major (side quest) event in kotor 1 I thought it may be in kotor2 as well. Any and all info on the subject would be great to have.

Romance is possible, I believe, but not to the extent of KotOR I. Then again, asking me about roamnce in KotOR II is like asking a brick wall.

I never rated K1's romance either.
K1:
As a female PC you have to put up with Carth's boorish behaviour, and it doesn't really go anywhere as the scene where Carth redeems a DS PC on the Star Forge was cut (see, it isn't just K2 that has cuts).
As a male PC your own behaviour towards Bastilla is no better. And Bastilla's eventual acquiescence (whoo, spelt that right on the first attempt - unless Word is lying) is just sooo out of character.
K2:
As a male PC you get Visas' speech after the final confrontation with the Jedi Masters on Dantooine which was (for me, at least) touching and well written. Handmaiden also conveys a need to understand why her father choose Arren Kae over his honour. It is understated but quite powerful; you get the feeling that she wants to experience the same, and you might just be the lucky guy. (Not to mention Kreia's comment which goes something like "Did you ever consider what it would mean if she ever allowed you to defeat her completely and utterly?" to which the only answer "No, but I am now" is inexplicably missing).
As a female PC, however, you get shafted. After Atton's conversation with Bao-Dur you get nothing but a card game.
But, if all you do is race through the dialogue, waiting for that fade-to-black kiss, then you will be very disappointed.

Thanks for the information. But you firgot one thing in kotor2 W666TVR. Kreia makes some kind of comment about your (male) character mating with visas. To which tghere is an optional reply of something to the extent of. "I just met her that doesn't mean I'm ready to charge up her loading ramp." A bit crude I'll admit. Then there is the time when Mira asks if your (male) character and handmaiden have been intimate. Of course in the reply the pc san say ,I can't allow myself to form emotional attatchments, or something to that effect. (Sorry but I'm not as good as quotes as you are). All in all while the romance was good in kotor 1 (and not that far ooc for bastilla considering the conversational build up) It evidently does not go that far in kotor2.
There is also a nice throwaway bit on Nar Shaddaa.
When you talk to the ex bounty hunter, you can ask him about the principle bounty hunters that are chasing you. If you are a male PC, when he tells you about the Twin Suns there are two or three clichéd responses along the lines of "Can I kill the others and still have the two Twileks chasing me?".
Do that with Handmaiden in your party and she will give you what can only be described as a "look".

romance in kotor ii
I wanted to thank you all for being so thorough in the threads. I played KOTOR every which way I could and enjoyed it immensely. I have played KOTOR II twice through (once as a female and the other as a male character both LS). I would like to play it more to explore the romance parts that i might have missed but i have become too busy with work to play through the game again and again (it takes a long time to go through it). Anyhow, i spent nearly 2 hours looking for the mention of romance in the game and finally was able to get the answers. I guess there isn't much to that aspect of the game in conclusion. Could someone please play spoiler and tell me what happens if you do the ds character? Is it possible to get a different ending if you are LS character and choose at the last minute to either kill Krea or not (like in KOTOR I where you can choose the ending based on your final stage actions)?
One thing that kind of erks me about this game is that it seemed to be really an unfinished product (i have the xbox version). its like there were story lines that were started and carved out with a spoon rather than a knife and then random things thrown in that didn't seem to belong. i attributed these things as just coincidences due to optional storylines but i don't think its that.
well thanks again for the postings-

w666tvr is mostly right except for on the female bits
Since I pretty much only play as female I know. ^^
In kotor I you do end up getting the attention of Carth and if youve showed interest in him and you ultimately choose light side (near the end of the game just before the star forge) he tells you his feelings and says he wants to be with you (much to the delight of Bindo and the other goody goody Jedi's ^^)
In kotor II as a female, if you enter and exit the ship after getting Disciple, him and Atton have a series of heated arguments making it obvious that they both have feelings for the exile .. I dont think it amounts to much aside from seeing that the poor cute disciple is pathetically in love with you <3

I'd forgotten the Disciple/ Atton catfights . In order to get those you need more influence with Disciple than Atton, so many people miss it.
There are equivalent catfights between Handmaiden/ Visas. Mandalorianx has fallen foul of one.
If you are on the LS path and you have more influence with Visas than Handmaiden (easy to do if you have neglected Handmaiden) then there is no harm done, but you should see a cutscene between Handmaiden and Visas.
If you are on the DS path with the same influence setup (easier to do, hard to gain influence with Handmaiden on DS), then Handmaiden will not forgive you for choosing the Sith (Visas) over her. As the game progresses you should see a more violent cutscene between Handmaiden and Visas and a cutscene between Handmaiden and Kreia where Kreia drives a wedge between Handmaiden and the Exile. Unfortunately, although you can still get influence with her from LS deeds, you can never "fix it" and speak to Handmaiden again. A real problem if you haven't sparred with her enough to turn her into a Jedi.
P.S. I hadn't forgotten the "declarations of love" on the forgotten world (K1), I just thought the planned redemption of a DS/F Revan by Carth would have been more powerful.
P.P.S. Did you get the declaration of love from Juhanni (also K1)? It should only have been given to a female PC, but was bugged apparently.

I've seen a catfight between Atton and Disciple, and Atton just did the whole tell-you-his-past-please-make-me-a-jedi-too-so-I-can-protect-you-better thing, but besides that all I've ever gotten is a card game. I'm on Nar Shaddaa(sp?), and it's my third planet. A card game, people. At least Carth would start conversations with you and things like that. Atton is only good for Pazaak, Pazaak and more Pazaak. It's driving me nuts.
Eventually, though, Kreia will tell you that (forgive me, I'm not the best with quotes) that Atton loves the femexile, but "he has nothing of value to offer you, and even one such as him is not ignorant to this."
Kreia's a wench. I find her highly annoying and leave her on the ship whenever possible.
As for Disciple...for being such a nice guy, he's a little, shall we say, forward. The second conversation I had with him creeped me out...I told him I was in need of healing and he told me that no, I was not, because I had excellent muscle tone, etc., and well...it was a very in-depth analysis that seemed a little on the stalker side to me. He stays on the ship, too. ^_^

In reference to Atton:
"Among his removed cutscenes were his and his companions' confrontation with Darth Traya, a duel between him and Mical if the Exile is a female and had more influence with Mical, and a confrontation between him and Darth Sion which could either lead to his tragic death in the arms of the Exile where he would announce his love for the Exile or him leaving with the Exile into the Unknown Regions."

Thought you might find that interesting.

Asking you about romance ANYWHERE is like talking to a brick wall.
OK, Im allowed a little cliche.
I think if you advance the romance subplot with handmaiden you can get her to tell you (Spoiler below)
Her real name.
You may be able to get that without flirting or w/e to, can anybody back this up??????????????

She tells you her real name anyways nearing the end of the game if she decides to become your disciple, even if she never had the chance to learn the force before fighting Atris. You may be able to get that without flirting or w/e to, can anybody back this up??????????????
She steadfastly refused to tell me her name before, but I did not follow the romance plot all that well. I may have succeeded or I may not have, but she never told me her real name, saying that it was forgotten.
People who payed more attention to the flirting in this game may have more information for you, at least more than I have.

Im so sick of cutted games *cough* Fable
I just knew something didnt fit in the ending, wondered if iI could see my friends after defeating Darth ****
Game companies cutting games to earn fast money is bad companies they make it worse for themself, their tactic is not profitable in the long run. Sry off- topic, im just so tired of loose end and chopped games
