You can restore bits and pieces at the beginning. I don't known how much else you can repair. It will be a long time before you can remove the block in his memory, by the way. I recommend waiting some time and seeing what happens. :)

[I don't think this is a spoiler but a moderator might...]

Unless he's completed the Leviathan already... in which case you can't restore any...

You can restore HK's memory 4 times throughout the game and it all comes down to repair skill.
For instance, you need to have 5 (I think) points in repair for HK to regain a part of his memory.
then 11 point's (I think) to do it again
Then it's something like 17 or 18 point's to do it again.

If you want to do this I'd recommend that you dont use a soldier build as they only gain one point on a level up to add in these skill's but they need 2 available point's for 1 skill point

A scoundrel however gain's 2 or 3 point's for skill's on a level up and they need 1 available point for 1 skill point, making progression much much quicker ;)

It is worth restoring HK's memory though as he's got an interesting story to tell

Unless you have the skills already, I wouldn't bother trying to build up on them for it. Maybe he'll remember somthing eventually on his own...

He dosnt, for HK to remember anything you have to repair him, he cannot do it himself.
Ive played and completed this game countless time's now but only ever 'fixed' HK once... It's only worth doing once, just to find out about his background ;)

Erm... For the record, I don't think anyone has actually given a literal reply.

So, in order to completely repair HK's memory, you need to have Repair Skill 17 (I'm pretty sure it works if you have lower but have some items equipped that boost it; Calrissian's Utility Belt, for instance - Repair +3). There are total of four repairs you can do, I don't know how it goes skill-wise, but you need the mentioned 17 for the last repair. Also, it's very important you do the last (fourth) repair before going looking for the fifth (last) Star Map.

Because that's when the Leviathan captures you and the plot gets spiced up. After that happens, when you're having the conversation with your team on the Ebon Hawk, and you get the conversation options to ask each party member what they think about the whole thing, choose the HK line (you can choose all the lines before the last (Carth) one, which continues the conversation). After that, HK's repairs are done, and you can talk to him about what you have found out. (And learn something amusing about Darth Malak... )

I hope this helped. :)

You should do so well as to be sucked into the engine of some evil Sith Lord, you know.

Bear in mind also that it doesn't give you any side-quest or other benefit, so you might be better just googling for what he tells you (or pm-ing another player !) and keeping you precious skill points for other things...
