Hi there.
I've played through KOTOR II four times now as both male and female, LS and DS but I've never come across Carth or Bastila except for the T3 message.
What have I been doing wrong?
Admiral Onasi (spoilers welcome)

Most likely, at the beginning, you made the mistake while talking to Carth that Revan lived for battle, instead or reading below to the one where it says that Revan saved the republic. Also, I think you may have to be LS, but I am not sure.

What has happened is in the first meeting with Atton Rand, you have said "Revan killed Malak then united the Sith against the Republic." If you had played KOTOR I you would know if Revan had gone to the Dark Side; Carth would have run away on the Unknown World, deeply saddend that he was betrayed again.
Which means, he would not want to look for Revan resulting in Carth never having to find you. All you have to do, if and when you start a new file next time is to remind Atton that Revan renounced the Dark Side and stayed with the Republic.

(spoilers from game I )
I played on LS as a female, as I did the first time in kotor I .. just answer to atton in the beginning as if Revan repented and Revan was a she (also tell him that you had a double bladded purple light saber for super coolness lol) anyways at the end Carth comes in and asks you to give his darling Revan a message he's quite upset (to the point of being pathetic) about her leaving .. I also saw him occasionally throughout the game in movies. I assume if you say Revan was evil and it was a he .. you may meet Bastila in the end but Im not sure

Basically what he said, but If your LS male, you meet Bastila once you talk to T3 and get the message. If your LS female, you meet Carth. If your DS, Im not sure. Why dont you find out?
