Romance in Multiplayer?

Post by lilyophelia »

I've looked and looked and looked, but I couldn't find the solution to my question, so...here it is. I am playing a multiplayer BG2 game with my partner, and it is our first time playing through the game. I was already dissapointed to find out that I can't have a familiar because I'm not the protagonist (I have just one character, and I'm the client), but I'm more worried that because I'm not a protagonist I'm going to get shut out of all of the romance parts of the game. We're both girls, and we want to romance the girls, and we also have the Cloe mod installed, and I was kind of after her, but...not I kind of think that I won't even get to talk to her ; ; Is there a way around this, or am I assuming wrong? Also, as the non-protagonist PC, will I also be excluded from the stronghold quests? If you have any info on what being the non-protagonist PC cuts out of the game for me directly (as opposed to watching on my girlfriend's computer), then I would really, really appreciate the info. Thanks again, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can still flirt with the girls (I even got permission to do so!).

My understanding is that the NPCs only romance the PCs, not other characters. Even the dialogues are with the PCs.

I'm fairly certain only the protagonist gets all the love and fame. I assume there's some kind of coding in the game that focuses all the key interactions on the protagonist character slot.

Spam removed. Since the answer has already been provided, repeating it endlessly (or speculating without information) isn't necessary. Thread closed.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
