Well im not sure but i don't think opening the chest before talking to the spectator will help because the imps didn't do anything all they did was go into a gate and whine that i was no fun. HHHEEEEELLLLLLLPPPPPP!!!!!!!!

What gate. Do you mean they went back to the abyss. I'm not sure what you should do now, but check gamebanshee's walkthrough.

They went through a portal thing u know that electric circle thing. I alrdy checked the walkthrough and it doesn't say squat. Plz somebody help me

Just give the items to the people, you get a nice item, forget what, and xp, so its a harmless, if not whimsical quest.
