Thoughts for Oblivion!

Post by scsijon »

First post here so here goes

1/ As long as it's NOT like Dungeon Siege II and you MUST HAVE windows xp installed to play it. - that cuts off about 30% of Australia's game players.

2/ I'd like to see a Linux version released. - the linux community is growing down here at a rate of knots and NEEDS some decent games, there is a possability that Sacred 2 may as their Tincan Engine is linux compatable, and there are commercial packages out there so it's not a GPL free sourcecode for all.

3/ The graphics people need to allow for the modern "widescreen". - most of the men charcters just seem to muscle and bulk up nicely, but you girl characters just look like you need to visit a "fat farm", it's very unbecoming.

4/ Subtitling needs to be recorded in a book format for reviewing. - a number of us have hearing difficulties and often the subtitling in games is moving too fast for total intake of what's being passed on. Also the game needs to be able to make sense without sound being on for those totally deaf (another almost empty market).

5/ It needs to be seriously considered to supply a "design your own area" toolkit released either with the game or as an addon soon after. With a standard access point (such as using the transfer gateways). - this would allow those that were interested to expand the game in area to an enormous size and with new areas coming available all the time the games lifetime should be almost permanent.

And that's from a quick observation of the Forum and game so far. i'll add more when i've time to drill down further.

regards to all
