Main quest trouble

Hi, im new to this but i've been reading these forums for a while, looking for one answer.

My problem is this, I did the first Blades quest where you go and get that puzzle box and returned it to the guy. When I went back to Caius he said I had Corpus and had to get it cured. I obviously dont have Corpus.

I know about the backpath, but would really not like to do it. Im on Xbox ao i cant do any console commands to fix it. I've also heard talk thatb if your reputation is over 50 you can get an appointement with Vivec. The thing is, my reputation is at 47 and refuses to go higher.

I've been playing this game for 6-8 months, beaten both Tribunal and Bloodmoon, and become the head of the Telvanni, thieves guild, fighters guild, Imperial Legion, and the Morag Tong. Starting over is not an option.

Please help!

Concerning your post, I'm assuming that you've done the Sixth House part of the main quest. That's how you got the disease. Ask yourself this question;

Do you know how to find Divayth Fyr?
(possible spoiler)He is in the TOP inside of Tel Fyr, you need levitate to get to him. He will want some dewemer item from your last quest I believe, you must give it to him in order for him to talk to you about being cured. He will also send you on a little hunt downstairs to do some business... The books the egg of time hanging gardens and divine metaphysics can also be translated by someone in this quest, I think. This bit is confusing to me. Didn't you go to the Illunibi Caverns and all that? You're talking about beginning quest, there are steps inbetween. Didn't you go through the Illunibi Caverns?

No, I have not done the 6th House quest. This happened right after the Dwemer Box Quest and I decided to just keep playing on. I didnt care about the main thing at the time.

Yes, I do know Divayth Fyr, being the head of the Telvanni and all. I have been to talk to him and all and nothin', zip, nada.

I'm wondering if you can just catch Corpus normally from a Corpus beast, and then go talk to Divayth Fyr.

Wait, hold the phone,

Caius says you need to find a cure and won't give you anymore quests? THAT is because Caius is supposed to give you something to give to Divayth! Ha, that might solve your problem. Exhaust all of your diolague options with Caius. He has to have given you something you need! (I hope you didn't lose it)

There is also a chance that it is Fast Eddie's fault. Since he is your mouth in Sadrith Mora and isn't in Balmora, Caius can't know that Eddie knows Divayth!

I am also still concerned that you are missing parts of the main quest.

The Dwemer Box is the first real Blades Quest, the first "Quests" are just meeting Caius and Hasphat. I have also exausted all dialogues with Caius and nothing.
