a newbi question

Ok I have played through shadows and throne and I just got done with bg1 I'm trying to import my charater from bg1 to bg2 so I can play all three games witht he same character.. When I go to import a character in bg2 there is no option to import a bg1 character file or saved game, even though the text of to the side says that I can..

when you create a character, one of the options at the bottom of the screen is a button for importing characters...bottom right corner

Try to copy the character file from BGI directory to BGII directory manualy.

You need to copy the file from BG1 to BG2; if it's a character file then copy it into the characters directory of BG2, if it's a savegame then copy it into the save directory.
