The first Harper encounter - problem

Post by Jess »

Bit confused at the moment.... The first 'waylaid by enemies' encounter, where you get the body of the harper (can't remember his name) didn't happen for ages - and this time nothing was said about any kind of dying man. I've never played with Jaheira before, do the harper quests start differently because she's in the party or is this a bug? And if this is a bug, will CLUAing the body start the quest or do I need to do more than that?
Cheers

i always have jaheira in my party and you have to take the dying harper to the harper stronghold still if she is in the party.

If I remember correctly, the encounter will not occur until you attempt leave the city (by going to the city gates). So if you don't leave for there until later, then it won't occur until later.

Just hand the body back, and the rest will work fine.
In memorian: Fiona; Ravager; Lestat; Phreddie; and all of those from the 1500 incident. Lest we forget.

I had already left the city, but for some odd reason it turned out that I had to talk to to Nalia before the Renfeld fight happened. So all is now well :)

I never take Nalia and I always have Jaheira in the party. I have had the Renfield thing happen a bit later than usual, though.
