Favorite NPC (Poll)

Post by way2short »

Well i don't know about you guys but i think the best npc is Minsc. Lol. He is freaking funny, strong and later after he gets into higher levels he gets do a few spells. Plus you get him in the beginning which gives you a boost if you have him through out the whole level.

There are ways of getting around it. I don't know personnaly, (As I have finished ToB), but Xandax, or Fable, or someone else might know.

I know of no way to keep ToB and add TDD, without running into compatibility problems. The TDD team is working on a ToB-compatible version, however. You might want to check on their website at www.teambg.com to see if they've listed any deadline for this, but it's probably not the kind of thing they can easily predict.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

My fav NPC's is a tie between Viconia and Aerie. Viconia with the Crom Faeyr and Aerie with Robe of Veccna. Those two alone can deal some damage.

Well, I have an Evil beholder NPC named Azion that is my favorite. He is my favorite because the people run from him, and some scream in terror (as they should) when they see him. He is also very useful against those pesky mages, and on top of his beholder abilities, he is an Illusionist, mage. (mirror image anyone, hehe.) Plus he is just a blast to have in the party.

Some more info: Being a chaotic evil beholder, he cannot help but sometimes turn people (peasants) to stone, or slaughter animals he sees (he has a thing for turning creatures to stone) when he is in a badmood. He gets in a bad mood when he losses large amounts of HP, or when the Rep of the party goes up to high...His favorite activity is hunting Amn guardsman down (and turning them to stone)...though he wont do that unless the partys rep is 1 or less...Just having him in the party is enough to spawn guards sometimes in Amn, but his eyes help out alot in those fights.

He has about 7 quests, and some of his quests feature new (balanced) items.

Unfortunetly I cannot let anyone else use him yet, because his script uses custom Dialog tlk entires for some of the 'screams' and yells when people see him, and the current version of Infinity Engine Mass Converter still does not convert BCS scripts properly to TBG files...I will release him for download as soon as Todd gets the IEMC working for BCS files.

BTW: He is an option only for the most evil of parties, as his quests call for some truly bad deeds.

Another great thing about him, is he is different from most NPC's in that he is self contained. Meaning no modification to the nPc 2da's. His script handles his leveling up, and quests, and all related activities for him. Which makes him much more easy to install than the other NPCs out there, doing it my way, though it is more work to do initially for me...

Korgy...in one quest, he was at the upper floor of a tavern, and I accidentally talked to some guy who was holding a flagon of ale, and was complaining about how it was unsanitary and he didn't want to drink it, so korgy spoke up and grabbed the ale and drank it!! funny...
They call me Darth...

Hard to choose...
I might have to go with Viconia, who my favorite PC, Thirnwald Bartolan, a blade, romanced. With the right equipment, she is an absolute monster with her MR and cleric spells. I had her take on all the duels other than the mage ones in Ust Natha to give her a chance to get a measure of revenge against her fellow drow.

Edwin...He is hilarious. Pretty funny that he is an incompetent bumbling megalomaniac when, in fact, he is a kick-arse mage.

Mazzy, perhaps the most likable and noble character in the BG series.
