Sky Ramp - Force Field - HELP!!!

Post by Esenthiel »

All right, I'm at the Sky Ramp and I went into the area where there's an access terminal. I disabled the forcefield, and after that, I played the turret mini-game. Now, the force fireld is still there, and when I go back the access temrinal, the only options I get are:

[Computer] Access other systems. (which leads to:
ALL SECONDARY SYSTEMS DISABLED BY REMOTE ADMIN)
and
Log Out

When I go the forcefield it says maybe Bao-Dur could help open it - but I don't have Bal-Dur with me! Am I missing something here? I beg for your assistance.

Thanks.

********* Possible Spoiler *********

Thankfully I made a save when in the Sith Tomb on Dxun, just before fighting the Sith Lord and Dark Jedi Masters. I forgot that you selected Kreia + Other Guy AFTER this, and not before. This game is WAYYYYY too buggy. I hope the PC version has some of these quirks fixed.

Ummm... This usually works for me. If you have a lightsaber you can bash the force fields to disable them

I just used a lightsaber as well. It didn't occur to me to try anything else. By that time I was feeling like Qui-Gon Jinn.

On this particular level it's impentetrable and can't be bashed. When you have to return to Onderon make sure you bring Bao-Durr with you or make a separate save, else you might be srewed. ;)

I'm pretty sure you don't need Bao-Dur, cus I didn't have Bao-Dur in my party when I beat that part of it

Then how'd you get the forcefield down? It told me I needed him because it was impossible to break it.

ummm, I honestly remember bashing it.

have you tried bashing it? besides, most of the bugs in this game are subtle. if this is a bug, this one would be overt and obvious.

besides, some "bugs" are user related and they only think it's a bug (I've done that before). so my advice is other than using Bao-Dur, I think you have to do a little experimentation first

EDIT: I know, it can be frustrating at times if you don't know what you need to do. I was stuck on Goto's Yacht, but it wasn't a bug, I only thought it was...

I just tried the sky ramp on 'Difficult' and was able to bash both force fields with my lightsaber. I also did it on 'Normal' before. Is anyone else seeing this?

I got exactly the same problem, no amount of bashing works. I got round it by downloading the savegame editor http://www.starwarsknights.com/mtools/kse_333.zip and changing my party selection and adding bao-dur, breaking the force shield and then continuing.

You mean the second force field right? I think it is scripted.I just got close then the ff disabled itself or maybe it was a bug? Still overloading the ff with lightsaber or bao-durs kick ass arm will do fine, i think.

Solved :)

I got stuck at the second forcefield, as well. I found that it was because I was in battle mode and attacked the forcefield. Once I disengaged from battle, then selected open, I could bash and the light saber worked just fine.

Hope this helps someone else!
