If I sa I want to join the Anarchs, does that lock me into the Anarch ending?(Spoiler

Post by blackw0lf »

I just finished the plaguebearer quest, and when I talked to Damsel I had a choice to tell her I want to join the Anarchs. I'm aware that there are several endings to the game. I'm guessing that in one ending is where you side with the Anarchs. However I'm not sure I want to side with them yet. If I tell her I want to join them, does this lock me into a particular ending? Or am I still able to get the other endings by future actions I take?

no, agreeing to work for them/join them still leaves the other options open as, from a roleplaying point of view, you could just be using them for your own gain. i quite often side with both them and the prince and/or the camarilla during the game then decide to go solo or just betray some of them at the end.

Anarch Ending

After the plauge barer's quest, If you tell damsel that you wan't to join the anarchs, she'll tell you to sort of "play the camarilla". During the Enemy of my Enemy quest,
Lacroix will tell you that he is aware that you have sided with the anarchs. At that point he will tell you to make peace with Nines. Even if you choose the no alligence ending (and give give the key to Lacroix),Lacroix will tell you something along this lines: "Tell your anarchs their days are numbered."
Telling Damsel about joining the anarchs gives you no real benefit.

It is possible to play it such that all of the endings are available.

That is unless the ming door sticks for you, in which case the only ending you can see is siding with the Kuei-jin

Yes ***SPOILERS***

The following response is a spoiler answer to the above question:
Whenever, I have finished the game all the options have been open to me. I play both ends against the middle. The only time I didn't get the option to side with the Kuei-Jin is when dialogue options prevented it or you role-played the snide comments, showing yourself to be against the Kuei-Jin.

That door has stuck for me for months, but I still have the option of choosing any ending.

Oh the options were available, it's just you can't actually finish them if you are stuck on the door..

The comment was also made before I found a way to get past that pesky door.

There are ways to work around that glitch, and there is an active topic on the issue.

Edit: Oops, you already know. Well then the link is here for anyone who needs to know.
