dark jedi NPCs (spoilers)

Post by ianpaul1 »

you all probably know if you go darkside you make Atton a dark jedi, but can you make anyone else one? i find, if i go dark side, i can only make Atton a jedi and nobody else (light or dark).

Also, can you make any jedi NPC into a prestige class? it would be really good if you could make them all jedi masters or sith lords!

Your influence (not alignment) effects the NPC's. So at the cost of some light points along the way, you could get everyone to be jedi even though you are evil. For example, the Handmaiden is influenced through certian good deeds along the way. An evil player doing a few nice things in her presence will get a few light points & her influence, leading to her jedi training. So I say yes, it is possible, but you have to accept some light points along with it.

As far as the prestige class, it's limited to the main character only. So sorry, no All Masters for you :)

so in theory i could start lightside, gain enough influence to train them, not train them but instead leave them on the ebon hawk and take hk-47 on a killing spree...
then get sith lord as prestige class and use the corruption to turn them to the darkside...
is that possible, do you think, or would that cancel all my influence out?

I am not sure how the meter will respond to you going off on a killing spree and becoming totally dark. More than likely they will still be LS.

If you take none with you, then you do not have to worry.

I think more along the lines of being DS and only performing good deeds in front of the right person to get influence and drag them down with you. Remember to save before you do any of these acts, in case it does not work and you lost those DS points for nothing. Although, they are quite easy to get back...

It's actually very difficult to get Disciple jedified if you're DS. The reason is, that when he meets you he gets automatic and very major -INF points if you are DS. Nothing that you do or say, he just 'sees' your alignment and gets -INF.

It is possible (I've done it) but only if you do Dantooine first and are prepared to take a LOT of LS hits.

You need to do goody stuff to get Handmaiden to become a jedi, right?

Nope. Wrong.

I did it with a completely DS character, never got a single point of LS.

I've just used the game save editor and gave Disciple 100& influence and me 100 darkside points. Started a conversation with him and his face immediately went less darker than he was before it started. He still changed to a dark jedi sentinal though :mischief:

It works if you get the influence really high or really low...

So you can get them to be jedi with low influence. However if you are DS, then they will gain light points...

True enough. The downside with that is that then offensive Force Powers are really expensive, so they run out of mana a lot and you spend forever waiting for them to regain it...

For anyone interested, I've now got all 4 of my characters Jedified as Dark Jedi (Mira, Handmaiden, Atton and Bao-Dur), and all of them down to within 5 points of Dark Mastery. Unfortunately, I spent so long influienceing them that I didn't make Mastery myself this game. Bother. I see another game coming on...
